Syd Reese: What a great spot! Great drinks, chill atmosphere, and good music. The lighting is fabulous for a night cap, intimate conversation, and a few drinks before the clubs. Tables and seating are varied in placement from the bar stools, to a standing table, to smaller tables with big seating areas. Our bartender was excellent and they were so accommodating to our group which grew and grew by the end of the night. Will definitely be going back again.

Victoria Lynch: SoCals was one of the first bars I ever went to after I moved to Sacramento. I came in during the day and was served by Dana. She was so incredibly kind, attentive, and makes the best Kamikaze shots I've ever tasted. I continue coming to this bar because of her. If I come by and she's not working, I will leave and come back another day in hopes of her being there. I have never been to a dive bar with better service than what Dana brings to the table. I love the vibe, drink price, and smoke pit this bar has.Definitely an East Sacramento staple, but wouldn't be the same without Dana.
Lenara Kurbatova: I'm originally from Russia. When I came to the Socal's Tavern for the first time, I was amazed how "American" it looked and felt. It was like from all the movies I watched about the bars here. Very nice and friendly.

Husband and I never been it was our 21 st anniversary and we absolutely loved the cocktails and for him of course IPA’s. Bartenders are a blast and fun video games were the best !!! Aaron Coats: First time here. Got there right at opening. The place is nice and clean, the music was so-so, but I'm probably not the typical patron. The selection of games was good, but the condition of many of the game controls made gameplay less fun than it could have been. I'll definitely go back and I'll recommend it to friends for the right occasion. I Mentioned a game issue to one of the bartenders and they were quick to offer replacement quarters. The food/drink service was fast and friendly.
L: Let me preface this by saying I'm from New York City. So when I say that their Pizza is great? It is great. It was thin and was cheesy. It was the right amount of oil and the crust! 🏾 it tastes like home. The atmosphere was great. I was there with my boyfriend and we played so many video games from our childhood. Just had it all around good time. It's not Dave & Buster's. It's where you go when you want to feel like an adult with no kids around mucking up the vibe.

Loved the casual vibe, the great service, and incredible food. Kudos to Kurra, and the chef and team!
Janae Gautier: I love the classy vibes of this place, it's beautiful inside and out! The service was great, bartender was attentive and polite, and the drinks were very good. Highly recommend the blood orange mule and the rose chambong! Food was fairly priced for happy hour, about 8$ each. I thoroughly enjoyed some delicious goat cheese and jam, as well as chicken tacos that were verrrry good. Absolutely loaded with chicken and sauce was very tasty.Overall I recommend for somewhere quiet to have a private conversation or just to enjoy the comfortable setting and food, especially now during the holiday season!

Jonathan Cornell: Nice relaxed place to stop for a beer. They always have something new on one or all of their 20 taps. Plus the other half of the place is a bottle shop where you can find limit release barrel aged beers, single cans and 4pks of your favorite IPAs.The staff is all very cool and knowledgeable. I'm hoping they bring back more beer events. Prior to the COVID Shutdowns, this was the place to be for beer events.
dee spunk: I can’t leave an actual review as we went and found out it was not kid friendly once there. The atmosphere was good, staff friendly. I just want to let people know, not kid friendly and no heaters outside, so not the best place if you want to be outside. I wish I had asked if they are dog friendly, but I forgot.
