4worldlovers: RIVERSIDE, CA – On Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the City of Riverside’s Public Safety Communications Center received several calls of a traffic collision occurring on Arlington Avenue and Stover Avenue involving two vehicles. Riverside Police Officers responded along with the Riverside Fire Department and located 5 injured people that were involved in the collision.

The 22-year-old male adult driver of a white 2020 Honda Civic was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. The 25-year-old adult female driver of a gray 2015 Nissan Sentra was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Her passengers were a 16-year-old male juvenile, 10-year-old female juvenile, and 8-year-old male juvenile who were also transported to local hospitals in critical condition. Unfortunately, the 8-year-old later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. All four occupants of the gray Nissan are siblings.


The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded, and they are being assisted by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office. The identity of the deceased is pending the completion of the Coroner’s investigation.
