This place is easily one of Riverside's biggest secrets. The Upper Crust offers incredible homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts 7 days a week. I had the pastrami sandwich on a french roll with potato salad and carrot sticks. I wasn't sure if I'd like the potato salad since I'm not typically a fan and the owner didn't hesitate to offer me a sample to see if I liked it. I took a bite and was wowed by how delicious it was! It was fantastic, and that's saying a lot coming from me. They then told me they make it in-house fresh daily, along with the french rolls and other goodies. While I waited I chatted with the people who run the place and discovered they've been serving up sandwiches here for 20 years!
