As I'm sure you already know, running a bookstore is a labor of love and is very dependent on the community to be sustainable. I believe a new store will generate more community engagement having a place where they can sit and read, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and where your children will feel safe and be a happy place for them.

Your support and patronage is what will help keep us sustainable. Also having a place where we can have events and classes will help tremendously also.

We're going to need a lot of help to make this work. I will be starting up the crowdfunding campaign again. Our first goal is to get the plans and drawings done.

Our staff love giving out recommendations and talking about their most recent read, so each of them have a page of their favorites with a quote or review that they feel shows off the book's qualities they loved so much. Check them out!

Sometimes the hardest part of picking your next book to read is the choosing itself! Our Apple-A-Month club is a subscription service that sends you 1 new release fiction paperback per month.

The books are hand picked by our staff and most always from a small press so that 1) we can support these books that we believe in that do not have big publisher marketing, and 2) we can be confident that you do not already have this on your shelf.

Every month, we nominate a bookseller-endorsed LP for Record of the Month and promote the album, band, and label throughout the course of the month.We put heavy emphasis on local and/or off-the-beaten track artists and labels with the intention of bringing support and attention to our community's vibrant creative landscape.

At 7pm on the last Saturday of the month we host a FREE listening party at our 9th Ave location and spin the album in-store.
