Troop 99 is the oldest, continuously chartered troop west of the Mississippi. Chartered in 1916, the troop was originally known as Troop 1 until the merger of the Orange County and North Orange County councils. Our charter organization is the Sunrise Rotary Club. Troop 99’s Scout House was originally located on Imperial Hwy. next to the Packing House. It has since been moved to its present location on Imperial Hwy. and Casa Loma in Hurless Barton Park. The mission of Troop 99 is to develop the youth of our troop into productive citizens by providing an engaging and supportive Scouting program that encourages growth through both intellectual and physical activities. We work to develop leadership skills by providing training, role models and opportunities to lead within the troop.

Troop 99 offers a year-round adventure-based program designed to offer and encourage effective character, citizenship, and fitness training for boys and girls, age 11-18. We welcome all Scouting-age youth whether or not they have been part of scouting. In addition to camping, Scouts enjoy activities such as hiking, backpacking, canoeing, community service, and, more while accommodating the needs of today's busy families. Each summer we attend a week-long summer camp, past summer camps have included Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, Camp Chawanakee, Camp Whitsett, and Lost Valley. View our photos of past summer camps. Our troop also plans high adventure trips such as Philmont High Adventure Base in New Mexico and Florida Sea Base in the Bahamas.

We meet at the Red Scout House adjacent to the Yorba Linda Community Center and Hurless Barton Park at 4579 Casa Loma Avenue in Yorba Linda.

Meetings times are typically Sunday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30PM. We have a linked Female Troop, Troop 99G, which runs as their own unit, and meets at 3PM on Sundays.
