Assistance League of the Foothill Communities is proud of our legacy of caring and commitment in action serving the communities of Ontario, Montclair, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma, Etiwanda and portions of Fontana. Funds to support the chapter’s philanthropic programs are raised through our Thrift Shop; an annual holiday fundraiser; direct mail appeals; gifts and grants. Funds benefit individuals in need in our local communities. Below are some of our programs.

To support our philanthropic programs, Assistance League of the Foothill Communities owns and operates a Thrift Shop staffed by our member volunteers.

Magdalena came to Deseret Industries so that she could work to overcome her barriers to employment. During her two years at DI, she has learned how to drive a forklift, run a cash register, and set manageable goals.


Even in his 80s, Ray enjoys working. He took a job as a DI associate to earn some extra money and stay active. “It’s a great opportunity,” Ray says. “Everybody is friendly and cooperative.”

Meet Austin, one of DI’s amazing associates. Austin’s favorite color is yellow, which is fitting given his glowing personality.
