Rosston school of hair design was founded in the early 1950s by Sherman Trusty as the American Barber College, which was acquired by Rosston Enterprises in 1973, becoming the Rosston School of Hair Design. In 1989, Olivas, Inc. purchased the school. In 2010, the school was acquired by the Padmaja Corporation.

ROSSTON SCHOOL OF HAIR DESIGN is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education.
