Once open, it didn’t take long to outgrow the studio’s original setup, a short year later a remodel was in order to accommodate our growing business and increasing clientele. It wasn’t long after that we welcomed our first tattoo artists in November of 2003.

All of our piercers are licensed and experienced to make your visit a safe and happy one. We take the utmost care with every client, whether it’s first time earlobe piercings for a child, or something more complex for the experienced piercee.

We have a $25 service fee, which allows you to get multiple piercings in one sitting for just the single fee and the cost of whatever jewelry you choose. Our basic jewelry options are priced from $30 and up depending on the piercing you’re getting. We have gemmed options starting at $33 per piece, and gold options range from $57 and upwards depending on size/intricacy/gemstones.

Identification is required for all customers. Acceptable forms of identification for those over 18 are as follows:

Minors wishing to get a piercing must be accompanied by a parent with a matching last name, or a legal guardian (with necessary paperwork), and must have the minor's birth certificate and a school ID. We offer earlobe piercing for children ages 5 and up. For step-parents, legal guardians, or adoptive parents, we require paperwork stating that you are a legal guardian of the child in question. We carry only the highest quality, implant grade jewelry. With so many clients having sensitivities to certain alloys and materials, we choose to only carry medical implant grade materials with mill certificates available upon request. Your choice of jewelry should only be dependent on your personal aesthetic goals.

All of the threadless and internally threaded backings we use for piercings are made from implant-grade titanium or implant grade steel.

Titanium: Titanium is most commonly known for its uses in the medical industry. It’s used in pacemakers, surgical screws, pins, and plates – an alloy designed with body safety and bio-compatability in mind. This is why we choose to use it so frequently. We carry titanium that is ASTM F-136 compliant, which is the Association of Professional Piercers’ recommended standard. It’s highly resistant to corrosion, and is a very light weight; this makes it a great option especially for larger jewelry sizes. Titanium can also be anodized a variety of colors if you’re looking for a certain color scheme.

Most of the backings we place in fresh piercings are made from titanium, as are a variety of the threadless ends we stock.

14 and 18kt white, rose and yellow gold: Gold is a wonderful material for use in jewelry making, mostly due to its malleability and resistance to corrosion. There is a much wider range of shapes and designs to choose from in our gold selection as opposed to our titanium, because it can be easily molded into more intricate and delicate pieces. We carry a selection of 14k and 18k pieces, which means that the gold used has been alloyed to allow for more stability and less worry of breakage. Yellow, rose, and white gold are the current gold options that we carry, along with a select few pieces in black gold.

Niobium: Niobium is a very similar material to titanium. It is also resistant to corrosion, but significantly softer due to the annealing process it goes through when being shaped in the jewelry it’s used for. This makes it a wonderful choice for rings because it’s easy to bend it into place without marring the finish or compromising the integrity of the piece. Because it is elemental (nothing is added to it), it doesn’t require an ASTM rating. This also aids in its biocompatibility.

When a tattoo is applied, a needle deposits ink particles in the skin's dermis, the deepest layer of skin. Upon insertion, the immune system recognizes the tattoo ink as foreign material and sends white blood cells to consume them. The white blood cells then dispose of the ink through the lymphatic system to be processed and naturally disposed of.

However, tattoo ink particles are too large in relation to the tiny white blood cells to be removed all at once. So instead, your body continuously works at the ink over time, which is why tattoos are permanent but gradually fade and lose color over a lifespan.
