Are you planning on having IV Sedation (going to sleep) for your procedure? Please follow these instructions:

• From 9pm of the night prior to your appointment, have NOTHING TO EAT OR DRINK, INCLUDING WATER.

If you do, your surgery may be cancelled. Dr. Kang will inform you of any medications to continue before your surgery.

• Please hydrate well for at least 3 days prior to your surgery date.

• A responsible adult must accompany you to the office, remain in the office during the entire procedure, drive

Note: the use Ride-Shares (Ubers, Lyft, etc.) and Taxis are not allowed.

• Please leave all contact lenses, facial piercings, jewelry, and any loose items at home.

• Nail polish and acrylic nails may need to be removed if it interferes with surgical monitors.

• Avoid IV’s (i.e., blood draws) 2-3 weeks prior to your surgery, unless it is emergent.

• Please remember to discontinue and blood thinners as directed by Dr. Kang.
