The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a Nutrition Education Program for:​

Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or just had a baby in the past 6 months (or pregnancy loss)

Children up to 5 years of age including those cared for by mom, dad, a grandparent, foster parent, step-parent or guardian

Families with low to medium income or who receive Medi-Cal, CalWORKS or CalFresh benefits

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
