Cal we basically have 2 seasons: Summer, and a little less Summer. Meet our new company mascot, Amigo! He's a 5 mo. old German Wirehaired Pointer who is an avid stick connoisseur, bird hunting dog, and most importantly, a Surf Therapy pup in training! He's recently been making strides at being more comfortable surfing with Dad, learning to turn around and face forward after catching the wave, and most times no longer needs to be held onto while riding. Plus, he likes to give post-wave celebratory kisses seen here too. 4worldlovers: My friend and I had a lesson with Eric on Friday. We had such a great experience with him and had so much fun. He was patient and encouraging, and it made the whole experience that much better.

Husband, son, and I had great first surf with instructor, Eric. Eric was very chill, patient, and encouraging. Great at explaining the basic moves and how to stay safe. Caught some waves first time out. Highly recommend!

Eric was an awesome instructor. This was my first time even touching a board and he had me up and riding on my third attempt. Evan, the owner, is laid back but professional; these guys are the real deal.

Our surf school offers only the best surf lessons in Ventura, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara and youth surf camps in Ventura, California. Our surf school team shares their expertise in water safety and passion for surfing and the ocean.




We offer private and group surf lessons in Ventura, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara for all ages and skill levels year-round at Mondo's beach. Please note that the classes range from one to two hours and that wetsuit and surfboard are provided.


If you love the ocean as much as we do, then we invite you to be part of our 2023 Summer Camp. Annually, we offer summer surf camps in Ventura near Santa Barbara for ages 5 to 14 at Marina Park Beach, and summer surf camp for ages 8 to 14 at Mondo's Beach.

Mary Osborne is an icon in the international surf industry. At her young age, she can already look back on a 10-year career as a competitive surfer, fashion model, writer, and environmental advocate. Traveling to remote places many of us only dream of, she has become an ambassador for environmental causes as well as female empowerment.

Surfer, writer, fashion model, environmental advocate – AIO guide Mary Osborne has had many titles. But perhaps none define her more than “Ventura, California native”. Mary grew up playing in the waters off nearby Solimar Beach, and after a long career traveling the globe as a competitive longboarder, she returned home to raise her family and start a business. There are few that know the area better, so we asked Mary for her insider’s view of the famous California beach town.
