4worldlovers: Magic Elite Basketball Academy is an alternative to youth basketball leagues, clubs, and teams that emphasize gameplay over skill development. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced programs for boys and girls and serve the families of Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, Ladera, Rancho Santa Margarita, Irvine, and Costa Mesa.

While leagues serve a valuable purpose in their communities, they are mostly run by volunteers with little to no experience. Athletes are regularly placed on new teams with different coaches and gameplay styles, making it impossible to set and achieve long-term improvement goals.

Three programs that work together to develop and grow youth basketball players

This program is for our youngest athletes who are interested in basketball and is focused on developing coordination, basketball fundamentals, and basketball IQ.

Players are introduced to Magic Elite’s unique approach to skill development and gameplay as they progress through various stages of our training curriculum.

Players will participate in competitive tournaments, have more training days and begin learning advanced skills and strategies in preparation for high school.


Magic Elite coaches are non-volunteer and have experience playing and coaching at the varsity, collegiate, or professional level.

11 years of coaching experience – 7 as a varsity coach with 2 CIF State Berths and 2 CIF Semi-Finals – and a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Concordia University. Sean has taught in competitive basketball programs around the world, including Croatia, Italy, China, and Mexico.

This program has not only strengthened and improved my son’s core basketball skills, but it’s empowered him mentally to set and reach high goals while maintaining a positive and hustlers attitude.

My son had tried another basketball program. It felt disorganized and he wasn’t really getting any “coaching”. This has been the exact opposite.

We have 3 boys that have played Rookie Academy and absolutely love it. The coaches are very experienced and do a great job at keeping it simple for their age and also making it a lot of fun.

And I have to tell you…we have played in several rec and NJB leagues throughout the years before finding Nikos and LRNJB. By far, LRNJB is the best run program. You are so very organized and responsive. I just watched Steve’s video in the Nikos update from yesterday. I cannot believe you are 19! I’m so very impressed!!! You are amazing!
