4worldlovers: Mountain View School District was founded in 1884 in the agricultural lands of the former Spanish Ranchos. The district began as a small one room school house at Collins Station along the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1942 a new school was built on the corner of Archibald and Walnut close to where our district office building now stands. The region grew and a new Mountain View School was built in 1962 followed by Grace Yokley School in 1982, Creek View School in 1985 and Ranch View School in 1991. Park View Elementary School opened in 2022. The next new elementary school is slated for 2025.
