4worldlovers: Casa Pacifica is a Transitional Residential Full Service Partnership program designed to provide comprehensive, psycho-social rehabilitation and recovery for voluntary adults with chronic and persistent mental illness and dual diagnosis. The program provides a schedule of daily classes to promote recovery and independent living. Services also include Case Management for the Public Conservator's Office, payeeship, individual and group counseling, medication support, psychiatry, vocational services, and peer support. Clients are welcomed into a warm, homelike atmosphere where emphasis is placed on identifying individual motivating factors and goals toward recovery.

Graduates of the Casa Pacifica residential program will be encouraged to join our Alumni program. This program is designed to continue the process of recovery in the community and further the transition to independent living. The program includes transitional case management, where clients are visited in their residence and continually taught basic independent living skills. Assistance is also provided with a housing plan and maintaining a residence. We also provide alumni events to promote social connections.

To work closely in partnership with clients to help them learn or relearn the basic independent living and coping skills necessary to excel and enjoy meaningful independent living.

To support the client in developing a supportive social network and linking them with community support once clients graduate and move into the alumni program.

To assist clients in completing a Wellness Recovery Action Plan to reduce or eliminate hospitalization and increase crisis management skills.

Be free from non-psychiatric medical conditions requiring more than outpatient care.

Be willing to participate in program activities consistent with their Individual Service Plan goals such as taking medications as prescribed, independent living skills and/or vocational training and development.

Funding through SSI/ SSDI with Medi-Cal. Rent fees are consistent with standard board and care rates.

Referrals may be initiated by contacting the Assistant Program Director via phone/fax. The applicant will be invited to visit the program for a tour to meet the staff and clients and to collaboratively determine if Casa Pacifica can meet your needs.

Brother Benno’s is committed to operating with a very minimum amount of paid staff to accomplish our Mission and to enlist the greatest number of volunteers to help with the same goal.

Our Board of Directors is a “working” board and receives no compensation. Fund raising is carried out by our volunteers, grant writers and our generous donors, therefore your donations to Brother Benno’s are not eroded by overhead, administrative, and fundraising costs.

Volunteers and program members play a key a role. Each month, over 200 individuals offer their time to carry out important jobs in accomplishing our mission. Over 90% of our funding comes from private donations, grants, and bequests. Our intention is never to rely on government funding to accomplish our mission.

Brother Benno’s wide base of support within the community continues to grow year after year. We are grateful to the thousands of people who express their support of our work with donations of food, clothes, thrift shop items, time and labor, and of course financial contributions. Without them we would cease to exist.
