Matt at Avocado Woodworking is a versatile and skilled woodworker/craftsman and designer. He has built custom furniture for several bars and restaurants in the Bay Area and creates designs that look good and are solidly built with high quality materials. He made a custom table for our kitchen nook. We met and discussed how we wanted to use the space and Matt made detailed recommendations for the dimensions, materials and finish. He went back to the shop and, after asking a couple minor questions along the way, built an awesome table with a hand-turned single column leg in curly soft maple with an oil finish. The table fits perfectly in the space, is very sturdy and looks as good or better than it did three years ago after being used almost every day. Great work.

We approached Matthew for a custom made chess coffee table. Matt took all of our requirements to heart and added some nice touches of his own.
