4worldlovers: Greenway Golf Associates today (4/26/2023) announced its collaboration with master architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and his golf course design company, Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects, to renovate the North Course at —including the completion of the back nine holes.

Corica Park is located in the City of Alameda and within five minutes of Oakland Airport. In addition to the extensive driving range and practice facility, our three golf courses are suitable for players of all skill levels. Fast greens and swirling winds challenge seasoned golfers, while wide fairways and rolling hills welcome those newer to the game.

Both the 18-hole South Course and the 9-hole Mif Albright Par-3 Course are design and sustainability award winners. The highly anticipated front nine holes of the North Course are open for play, while the back nine restoration will resume shortly, with estimated completion in December 2024. Upon completion, the 45-hole complex will be among the largest golf facilities in California.

Golden Bear High-Performance Golf Camp returns June 12-14. The camp is taught by the Men’s and Women’s UC Berkeley (Cal) Golf Team Head and Assistant Coaches and is designed for competitive golfers, aged 10-18. Spots are limited. Click here for more information and to register.

Rick Lewis, known as “Dr. Eagle” around here, is a talented photographer, avid birder, and long-time Golden Gate Audubon Society member. He contributes often to Bay Area and Central Valley birding groups that promote wildlife & habitat conservation.

“There is a pair of red-shouldered hawks just outside my front door for the last 5 years; a favorite bird of mine!” According to Rick. But, never did I imagine that Bald Eagles would be nesting so close to home! Very exciting and good news for the entire Alameda community.”

Our On The Green initiative leverages golf and golf course space to advance our equity-focused pillars: community, access, and opportunity. We’re reimagining space use with inclusive programming for golfers and non-golfers alike. Learn more here and stay tuned for upcoming events and programs.

Sundays On The Green: ongoing, every other Sunday our spring season runs through the end of May. Small group lessons, focusing on golf instruction, life skills, and mentorship are offered at no cost to Alameda youth. Led by Alameda High School Golf Coach Nick Wolf.

Our third annual On The Green Golf and Play Summer Camp returns starting June 12th. The program is offered at no-cost, including food and transportation, to local youth from underserved communities. We can’t wait to do it all again next summer! Learn more about the program here.

*Please note that the Mif (Par 3) Course will be closed on camp dates from 8:30am-3:30pm. Exceptions: June 19 & July 4 holidays, when Mif will be open to public all day.
