Thabarwa Center is located on a 90-acre compound in the township of Thanlyin, just a 1hr drive outside Yangon, Myanmar. Our doors are always open, and you're welcome to visit us anytime.

We firmly believe that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. We also believe that it is our duty to provide long term, round-the-clock, physical/mental care and attention to those who are physically and mentally frail and ailing, regardless of their age and health condition. Due to an increasing number of elderly, sick, and infirm people, a new six-storey Dhamma Hospital was built in 2014. Thanks to your continued donations, we are able to provide medical care and treatment for all those who are in need.

After completing a background check and a mandatory 7 day meditation retreat, those in serious need of housing who apply for a piece of land are qualified to receive 20 square feet free of charge, including a basic hut.
