4worldlovers: Riverside Youth Judo Club is for children 5-17 years only. Adult classes can be taken at our adult dojo at UCR. We practice Traditional Kodokan Judo only. We do not teach MMA or "no gi" Judo.

At the age of nine, Patrick began studying judo under Sensei Juan Montenegro, from whom he earned his black belt at Orange County Judo Training Center. In eighth grade he began working out with the Huntington Beach High School Wrestling team and competed throughout high school.

Shimeru owner and head instructor Patrick Dooley received his black belt from Carlson Gracie Jr., under the teaching of Professor Orlando Alonso. He consistently demonstrates his commitment to teaching through his patience & respect for his students, & especially for my 3 year old who sometimes isn’t the best at focusing. Ms. Mina is also very pleasant in all the interactions we’ve had with her thus far. I would definitely recommend this facility

This place is amazing! We bring our special needs 9yr old (closer to 5 in development) and Mr Bobby does a wonderful job encouraging, adapting and being a positive teacher while still maintaining discipline. Kids learn, have fun, and gain martial arts skills. His black belt assistants are also awesome!

This a great school for learning martial arts. It is good for both adults, teens, and children. It offers kenpo and judo curriculums. The fellow students are friendly and fun to workout with. I bring my whole family here for their instruction. Mr Bobby has been a great help in teaching my children self defense and a great deal of self discipline.

The head instructor at 5.0 Evolved Martial Arts Redlands is Mr. Robert Sotomayor. Mr. Sotomayor has trained in American Kenpo for 25+ years. He has been studying Kenpo under Mr. Speakman for the past 16 years and holds a 5th Degree in Kenpo, He also has studied Judo for over 40 years and is certified by the United States Judo Association as a 3rd Degree Black Belt (SanDan).
