Rockler Woodworking and Hardware - Torrance: what do users think?

louilis: Wonderful crew

Subrina Pena: Clean and organized. Very helpful and knowledgeable associates. They also offer wood working classes which sound like a great opportunity.

RcRABS: Love this place. Went by to see if they had lamp kits to build. Spent a good amount of time looking at all their products.

R J: Nice little woodwork hardware store. Visited this store to find parts for pens and pen making kits. I was surprised on the stuff they had. Must check them out if you have any carpentry projects.

George Nakayama: Had the lumber that I was looking for and as an added bonus they were on sale!

Echo Cooksey: I love the wood bin of the various types of wood and sized and shapes thickness - we use them in unique cutting boards and vases etc

Herb Schiff: Great advice. Great help finding things. Not at all pushy.

Pat Bell: Love Rockler! Always professional, courteous, knowledgeable employees working at this location. Lots of high end quality tools and wood, some hard to find rare wood available as well.

Mariya Norkina: We had a great experience with Lee and others in this store. Very helpful, thank you!

Rudy Gonzales: friendly and knowledgeable staff.. always a pleasure to shop there

Francisco Apreza: I can find a great variety and the attention they provide is magnificent

FuserAgent: These guys are SUPER HELPFUL, but I’m specially talking about a very helpful new favorite person at Rockler, Joe. He was not only friendly and helpful but encouraging and reassuring that the projects and tools he was recommending were the right ones for my skill level. Overall the store can come across as intimidating but there’s something for every skill level and every budget. This place is truly amazing and more so if you’re concerned with your craftsmanship.

ProjectBenz M: I practically live at that store and that's because of a combination of the great products and the excellent customer service. I'm on a first name basis with all the guys there but they pretty much know me as Alex, the coffin guy. Lee and all the other guys have such great knowledge and if they don't know or aren't too sure about a product or what is necessary for one of my projects, they are more than willing to help me research. Great store, great service and excellent guys all around

Jared Felder: Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Large selection of items to support just about all of your project needs. Be careful though, don't leave your wallet unsupervised in this store. Very easy to spend too much money.

LA Woodshop: what do users think?

Zachary Rukavina: Great atmosphere and better learning experience.

Rich Padilla: This was such a well thought-out class and the instructors were very knowledgeable and patient with all the students. The end product was amazing and we finished off with a beer. Anyone at all slightly interested in woodworking should take this class. Wonderful primer to the world of wood working.

Devon Heck: I really loved my experience at LA Woodshop taking the Intro to Woodworking class. I had been looking for a class for some time but didn't want to commit to multiple classes in case I didn't like it.This intro class was extremely informative. We learned so much in one day and it never once was boring. The instructors were very down to earth and did a great job at keeping things moving, having two machines going at once so that there wasn't one long line at a machine. It was also empowering to have 2 female instructors!Lots of parking available. Fridge if you want to bring food.I would recommend LA Woodshop and Intro to Woodworking to anyone looking to get the basics down in a friendly atmosphere. I'm already considering my next class.

Abigail Bessler: Take this class!!!!!

Matthew Kleiman: Had a blast today with Todd, Jom and Jim. Walked us through all the basics of the main machinery and we finished the day using what we learned to make our own designs. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.

Chris DeLacy: Took an entry level class and learned how to use a joiner, planer, table saw, chop saw, sanding belt, and more. All day class. Made a cutting board! Todd, Kim, and Brianna rock. Thanks! Highly recommend for beginners who want woodworking to feel accessible.

Alex Rickert: Had a great time. Went through the basics of the machines and made a cutting board. I feel more confident in starting woodworking projects.

Scott Bell: Such a warm and welcoming place! I thoroughly enjoyed the Magnetic Knife Rack Router Class. Eric and Briana are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging instructors! We used a variety of routers while learning about safety and technique, and had a beautiful functional piece to bring home. The LA Woodshop gang is building a wonderful and talented community - I encourage you to check it out!

Michael Strange: My son and I had a private introductory course with Todd. Todd was a great instructor. My son in his twenties has never done anything like this. He loved it. Like the Terminator , "we'll be back".We have great cutting boards!

Daniel Roahrig: I've taken three separate classes over the past few years and have thoroughly enjoyed each! The instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly, and provide a welcoming environment to ask questions. I will absolutely be back and am looking forward to seeing what new classes they add in the future.

Isabel Czarnecki: Todd, Brianna and Kim were amazing instructors and made the Intro to Woodworking class informative while wonderfully fun. I would highly recommend, looking forward to my next class!

Tjay Combo: Fun class with great instructors who make your woodworking experience positive and very informative. Highly recommend

Aliza Zelin Neidich: I had the best time in my intro class and left with a fully usable cutting board that I was taught how to make. The instructors were really helpful and patient and the studio is fully equipped with great tools that I was taught how to use- safely! Can’t wait to book another class and go back.

Andrea Kraybill: Spent a fantastic day here in the Intro to woodworking class. The teachers are attentive, knowledgeable and made it a very fun day. I’m excited to come back and take more classes. Highly recommend

Alonso Figueroa: The instructors are fun to hang with and very helpful. This is a great way to spend the day.

Kate Felsted: I had a blast at the Intro to Woodworking class, now I'm hooked and I wouldn't want to learn anywhere else 🧡

Collin Hughart: I’ll definitely be taking more classes here. Instructors were awesome and did a great job educating the class on the machines and science of woodworking

Adrian Auld: I highly recommend this course. What a great way to dip your toe into the wonderful world of wood working! The class was made up of people, of all walks of life, with varying degrees of experience/knowledge, but for the most part we were all newbies. The teachers were welcoming, and relaxed, with a high level of focus on safety and participants comfort with using the workshop machinery. Their direction was clear and I had good understanding of what we were doing at all times. This is very much a beginners introduction, so don't expect to walk out having learnt how to refurbish that mid century dresser you bought on FB marketplace... but you will however walk out with a good understanding of some basic concepts/skills, required for working wood and using woodshop tools, as well as a fantastic cutting board/cheese board! It really was a great little project to complete in one day and to learn the basics on.As someone who has been looking for a creative outlet, and has been entertaining working with wood for some time, I couldn't be happier with my experience and I'm now looking forward to the next class in the course progression, Table Class!

Phillip Tse: The guys at LA Woodshop are extremely patient and professional. Their keen sense to detail and safety is a priority. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
