Shoestring City Ranch is on its 12th year and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on educating kids through the use of rescued horses. Located in an urban environment we bring elements of farmlife to children who otherwise may not have a chance to experience or learn about green space and animals. Education is important to us as well as providing a safe home for these large, magnificent creatures.
Our facility is 100% volunteer based and we rely 100% on donations to care for the animals. Here at the ranch kids learn to work in a team caring for the horses. They also learn responsibility while at the same time building confidence and better communication with their peers.
Many of the horses that come to us have been neglected, rescued from slaughter, or their owners are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to find forever homes for the horses we take in, in hopes they live out their lives giving joy to those who adopt them. We love what we do and hope you can contribute to the hard but rewarding work we put in for the love of horses and kids!

Crystal Culture: Fantastic nonprofit. They take such good care of their rescue horses and the kid's program they offer is so much fun for the children in the group! They love volunteering with the horses and learning new skills. Kids ages 9 and up can enter the kid's program so please consider volunteering if you can! They run solely on volunteers and donations and they're always in need of help.♥
