I've been a patient with Dr.Shey since 2014 when I started having really awful continuous migraines that left me in bed and not at work at least 6 days out of the month. Dr.Shey took his time during our office visit not to rush as if I was just a pay day but he really cared to get to the reasons for my migraines. Before leaving the office I had a prescription for my migraines as a daily preventative I take twice daily, appointments for not only a nerve conduction test but also a MRI of my Cervical Spine to rule out any abnormalities. I have always been happy with the quality of care I can trust Dr.Shey to provide when I see him for Neurological issues.I have Severe Cervical Spine Damage that has occurred over the years and Dr.Shey has sent me to the top Neurosurgeon in the area to have them addressed. If I am writing a positive review on a doctor then that person has to be a trusted person I would send my family to. I am a very very hard cup of water to swallow so that tells you how...

Nohemy Dirzo: Dr. Shey is such a blessing! Very attentive to my questions, and made sure I was completely comfortable with my options before going forward. Dr. Shey made me feel completely at ease after my questions. The front office staff is amazing as well, and makes the entire process, from scheduling, to check-in, and eventual follow-up, and absolute breeze.

Joyce Steele: I have been patient of Dr. B. Yafeh for 7 yrs since having a major Stroke in March 2016. She is the absolute best! She is very personable, attentive, focused and knowledgable. Her notes and memory are amazing and she consistently goes above and beyond. She’s thorough about keeping me informed about my treatments and medication and I feel very comfortable asking questions and expressing my fears. She’s very consoling when needed but honest and forthcoming. The Staff is always welcoming and informative.Dr. B. Christiana Hills: Dr. Yafeh is one of the most thorough and caring doctors I’ve ever known. Have been with her since my stroke in 2011. I find her extremely caring in every aspect of my health. She even assists to make sure my prescribed medications are the cheapest she can find. Her staff is thorough, following up to make sure home health has been ordered. Couldn’t ask for a better neurologist.
Lorri Guy: I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Yafeh. I suffer from complex migraines, and have for over 15 years. Prior to meeting Dr. Yafeh about 5 years ago, I was having 5-6 episodes a week. My symptoms were very scary, and a few doctors mentioned seizures and put me on really strong medication that made me really sick. I thought I would just suffer.Dr. Yafeh works very closely with her patients. We reviewed my medical history, symptoms, etc. She immediately suggested some very easy and small changes that no one had mentioned before: non hormonal IUD, baby aspirin, and a very easy to take daily medication that has pretty much cured me. I have had one bad flare up in the five years we've been working together, and she immediately found the solution to halt them.Her office staff is kind, efficient, and timely. I have never had an issue scheduling, rescheduling, or requesting paperwork. If you are reading through reviews trying to find a good neurologist, look no further!

Roxana Amiri: Let me start by saying if I could give her 100 stars I would have. Dr. Yafe is one of the rare doctors that actually listens to you. I ended up in the hospital and she was calling me a few times a day to see how I am doing. She is extremely caring and cautious in her treatment. Her bedside manner is impeccable. I can say without exaggeration that she is one of the few doctors that I have ever seen that I feel I come first and not my insurance/money. As soon as anything is ready to be discussed, she calls you and you do not need to beg her staff for a call. Her staff are lovely people as well. Do not hesitate to go to her. You will not regret it.
Amalia Torres: Dr. Yafeh is the sweetest Dr. I've ever had! I met her after I left the hospital after my stroke. She is welcoming and the office staff is always patient and helpful. They answer all my questions and never rush me.
L Rogers: Dr. Banafsheh Yafeh treated my husband at Long Beach Memorial during his second stroke in September 2018. Unlike the doctors during his first stroke, she took the time to patiently go over his test results and explain the damage in language any ordinary person under duress could understand.He was incapacitated and, under her care, as she promised, he was back home for Christmas dinner, which is no small feat considering his setbacks and numerous health issues. We are very glad to have found her and he continues to see her during his recovery.She is a brilliant neurologist AND also a strong advocate for her patients and their families. Office visits with her have been a smooth experience for us -- we have not had any long waits and her front office staff are great in helping us with filing benefits and coverage paperwork.Update, March 2021: My husband has been able to return to work full time under her care. We’re very grateful for her care during his recovery. It is nothing short of a miracle as he had to relearn skills including how to walk and improving his memory, among other things.
Kurt Luu: I'm always hesitant when seeing a new doctor, but Dr. Yafeh exceeded my expectations in every way. I recently started going to her and the entire process has been very smooth! Her staff was friendly and made my appointment to accommodate my schedule. Dr. Yafeh herself is very professional and knowledgeable. She was very focused on finding out what I was dealing with. She took the time to show me my imaging and I had the chance to ask questions. We discussed treatment and medication options and possible side effects and made sure I was satisfied with them.
Lazaro Cardenas: I wasn’t feeling well for a few days. When I contacted Dr. Yafeh’s office, they quickly scheduled me for an appointment. Communication is a big deal for me. Dr. Yafeh and her staff were excellent at communicating clearly every time we spoke.She allowed me to ask her questions. She was very good at answering them in a way that was easy for me to understand. Sometimes it’s hard to articulate exactly what’s wrong. I thought Dr. Yafeh was really great at trying to decipher the issues with me. She genuinely cared. It is nice to be able to have a doctor I can talk with openly without being afraid of having my concerns misunderstood. She’s a pleasure to work with.
Joella Hopkins: I’m so happy I went to see Dr. Banafsheh Yafeh. I was experiencing severe migraines for weeks. When she found out how debilitating migraines have been to my life, she had her staff call me and she accommodated me into her busy schedule sooner. We talked about my symptoms at length. When I told her how past medications hadn’t worked or how the side effects were too much to deal with, she recommended great alternatives that I still use today. As far as bedside manner, she was consistently nice and understanding. I found Dr. Yafeh very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She has superb clinical skills. I'm glad that I took the advice to see her.
David Martin: I found Dr Yafeh to be professional and PRECISE in questioning my course/diagnosis/care to date.At no time was she demanding, arrogant or unconcerned. As a Neurologist she displayed compassion and astute awareness of condition. She solicited my husband's input and concerns. Sorry but having read the previous comment, I feel a bit Schizophrenic in that e could not have seen the same doctor. As a physician with 45 ears experience I have had similar complaints. From the comment I sense that the son was put off by having bother attending his senior Mom, wishing instead to dictate the visit. Not having all info concerning his Mom's care is inexcusable.
