P M: I was on the go and I needed to use the computer but an hour wasn't enough. Their computer gave me 15 minutes extra without interrupting which I used to review and print and even executed two other things I had pending. 👍

Itz Weltonettee: I actually loved going here. It's a good place to study and read. A nice place to have some quiet time for yourself. You may have to wait until someone is done using the computer, and you will need a library card to check out the books. Other than that, it's very peaceful.

Lesa Smith: This lovely neighborhood library in Long Beach is now nearly 75 years old. It is where I spent many hours as a child and got my first library card. Designed by Architect Francis Heusel & opened August 30, 1948, it is one of the first libraries in the area designed in Midcentury Modern style. It features sleek lines and a high ceiling; the wall facing Anaheim Blvd. is all windows, casting bright light throughout the year.

Lindsey Demaree: Oddly enough, my husband and I came here as travelers needing a quiet, safe space to spend a few hours until we could check into our hotel. This library is quaint, clean, and convenient for those who aren't from Cali and need somewhere to relax lol. The bathroom was tidy and the community table area was our chill spot for about 3 hours. I briefly checked out the items for sale by the door. Lots of fun options!

In 1895 a group of women formed the Alamitos Library Association. Jotham Bixby Sr. donated this land in 1897 and funds were raised to construct the first library building. The current building, a 7,475-square-foot replica of a castle in Spain with wrought iron railings, decorated beams, and a patio with an art tile fountain, opened in January 1929. In 1997, the Alamitos Neighborhood Library celebrated 100 years of service to the community. The library branch is named after the community it serves, Alamitos Heights.

Mohammad محمد Ashori: One of my favorite libraries in LB. They have a security guard so the kind of people that come in aren't there to just use the bathroom or sleep. The main library in downtown is the one used for our houseless neighbors. This library can order books for you, they are super helpful, clean, and friendly. Love sitting on the tables or in the back area.
Chino Martinez: This branch is in a beautiful building, with a very nice outdoor area. Lack of staffing has been an issue here but I hope they figure it out and keep it open. Street parking only,

Marie NietoGrant: The Los Altos Branch Staff is very helpful and they are very committed to helping all their clients. It is located in the middle of a middle class neighborhood with several public and private schools nearby. It is a busy branch and children of all ages are served. Families with preschool thru high school children frequent the branch. It is a family friendly branch. Visiting CSULB students need to understand the culture of the branch and make plans accordingly. Perhaps the CSULB or Long Beach City College libraries would better meet the needs of students seeking a "quiet" library to study.
