Jenny Sherman: My partner and I hired Marisol as our Doula and we also attended her Bradley course. I highly recommend both!The course is lengthy but I love being informed and prepared, and this course absolutely helps with that, as well as prepares the partner to assist and participate, which is invaluable. Marisol brings her depth of experience to every stage of the course, and that makes it interesting and fun. She was always ready to answer questions, and keep us participating so that we got the most out of the course.As our doula, I could reach out to her at anytime with questions and concerns. She really encouraged me to learn how to advocate for myself in a medical setting, and through her I became very aware of the consequences of common procedures performed on pregnant people. My partner called her our "baby lawyer" hahaI gave birth at Long Beach Birth Center, and while I was already surrounded by knowledgeable women during a medication-free labor, having Marisol there was the cherry on top. At this point we considered her a friend, and she could say very little to me in labor to communicate a lot. She is so calm and supportive, everything you would want in a doula. Thank you for everything, Marisol!!
Christal Jerez: I took the 12 week Bradley method class with Marisol. It was absolutely incredible. It fully prepared me for my home birth and I felt confident to give birth in a hospital if necessary. I highly highly highly recommend this class and Marisol!

Paula Hernandez: Hiring Marisol as our Doula was the best decision we made all pregnancy. Marisol gave us the knowledge and resources to advocate for ourselves during our pregnancy, birth, and post partum. We took a Bradley Method class with her and gained invaluable knowledge. I was induced early during non visiting hours at our Kaiser hospital but Marisol was virtually there the whole time. Actually all 3 days of labor she was there virtually. She also helped me with breast feeding post partum. We appreciate it so much and truly recommend her as a doula to anyone considering it.

As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I began looking for birth doulas and am so happy that marisol and I connected. I signed up for her Bradley method courses, which really empowered me to make the most informed choices. The classes also catered to my spouse, to empower him as my birth coach. Having a doula made a world of difference not just in my birth experience, but for my whole pregnancy. I think my son will refer to Marisol as tia after this experience 😆 in addition to hiring her as a birth doula and Bradley method instructor, she also came to my home to put a faja on me postpartum, this faja was a huge game changer too! Worth every penny. An amazing investment for such a huge transition in my life.
Yuriced Carbajal: . My husband on the other hand was clueless about the labor process, but by the time we completed Marisol's course, I felt comfortable that my husband was going to be a good coach. Unfortunately, I didn't go into labor naturally as I hoped for, but I can say that my experience was beautiful. I was relaxed and excited to give birth to my baby knowing we were well prepared. Thanks Marisol!
Black Frame: When I first saw Marisol, the first thing that came to my mind was "This is a Mexican version of the superhero STORM!" She even has the same super cool white streak of hair.To be honest, at first I was kinda whatever about going. I think a lot of us guys have this initial feeling. I thought, how complicated can having a baby be? Then when my wife told me how long the class would be, I was like whaaaaaaat?! But once everyone breaks the ice, this class becomes very informative and fun. I learned a lot of things that I believe every dad and mom should know. I especially liked that Marisol teaches you what options parents have for having the best possible natural birth, and if it's not going to be a natural birth what you can expect with other options. She has lots of hands on experience and can give you examples and scenarios she has personally experienced, which I liked a lot. Nothing like having a person that has been there and done it.She is very knowledgeable about a lot of different aspects of the pregnant/birthing process, and she gladly answers all questions she is asked...even if it pertains to guys wondering if they can latch the baby to their nipple to sooth the baby if mom is not around to do so! LoL.I would highly recommend this course to any one that is about to experience pregnancy and all of the beautiful moments of the entire process.Btw, make sure to do your weekly HW or else....You should def read everything, lots of good information.I can legitimately say I am an OFFICIAL COACH. daisy amezcua: Where do I start! Our first labor was very traumatic and my husband and I really wanted to change our experience with our second child . We truly are grateful to have found Marisol and participate in the 12 week Bradley Method coaching classes. These are not Lamaze Classes. These are classes where one will learn how to advocate for themselves and their birth journey , where one will feel confident to ask questions, learn about ones body and it's changes, birthing methods, the role of your coach and their responsibilities, the different medications impose on womyn during labor, how create a birth plan and feel confident that as a mother you can have a natural birth . It truly is like training for a marathon. It's worth the investment and build community along the way.

I reminded her to stay steady with it and continue doing her inner work. Hypnobabies is about choosing to be hypnotized. It is self-hypnosis, and one must be open and willing to have the experience.

In the face of the searing white, albeit brief, pain, your face was the face of God. You held my hand and didn’t let go – you helped shephard my little girl into this world, and for that I am eternally grateful. Shontee was our doula, and she is INCREDIBLE. She is so knowledgeable and supportive for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She never missed a beat and helped us feel so safe and cared for. Danielle Render Turmaud: I read recently that birth should be “one of the most magical and empowering experiences of our lives”. Before this birth, I didn’t believe that was a remote possibility. After having a traumatic birth with my first child, I sought a doula with my son in hopes of obtaining support to decrease the chances of a traumatic birth this time around. Little did I know that hiring Sarah S. would be instrumental in giving me a birth experience that far exceeded any of my expectations. I left the birth process encouraged and empowered. Sarah was grounding, affirming, anchoring, and steadying. She brought me comfort, support, knowledge, and encouragement throughout my 18 hour labor, and reminded me of my strength in times when I doubted myself. She had a beautiful way of always helping orient us back to my needs and listening to my body without any judgment or second guessing. I am truly grateful for who she is and how she supported me and my family through our birth!!

Fallon Harris: Shontee was absolutely amazing. I don’t think we would have had such a healing and beautiful birth experience, despite the many challenges that came up and the changes that had to be made to what we had hoped and planned for. She offered gentle guidance and suggestions at perfect times and was always checking in to make sure I was okay or understood. During pregnancy, she went over and above with providing support - she visited our home several times and prepare my body for birth and by joining us at our birth hou up. During labor Shontee provided ways to move my body in order to create better positioning for baby when baby wasn’t progressing. She helped us understand when things were moving fast or were complex. She was always advocating for me and was always checking in with me to make sure I was feeling heard. She helped make our birth one that was empowering and healing. Jenna Lee: I worked with Shontee from Doula Love, for the birth of my 2nd daughter and I could not have dreamed up a more amazing person to walk me through this experience. Shontee she is kind, gentle, respectful of all decisions, and your number 1 advocate. She gave me so much wonderful advice throughout my pregnancy and leading up the birth helped me go through an induction and make decisions that were exactly what my body responded to. The most wonderful thing she did during the birth was get me moved into a different room due to some issues we were having with with our current room that allowed me to get into the bath and shower during the labor which I would not have been able to do on my own. She knew the hospital, the staff, and how to navigate in a strong but kind way. I know I would have not gotten those things had it not been for her looking out for me. The whole experience was so wonderful I was actually a little sad to not be pregnant and loose all those little check ins! I would recommend Doula Love to anyone trying to find a doula and experience that wonderful support during such a special and life changing time!

Their classes were exceptional, especially those on newborn care basics and newborn sleep. We also met our exceptional Doulas, Shontee Docktor and Katie Gould. I'm not a first-time mom, but I had a high-risk pregnancy and needed all of the extra support. Tiffani put my husband and me at easy and was an invaluable resource every step of the way. She even brought calm to the otherwise chaotic delivery room and allowed me to accomplish my goals of natural labor and delivery. We were very happy with the service Doula Love provided as well as their labor prep class we took as part of the birth doula package.Jill was an absolute pleasure to work with. Lacey Sauter: . During pushing I remember bawling and begging for Wendy. She knew I needed strong words and I knew she’d give them to me! The rest of my team was exhausted but she came through and told me to get my baby out! My husband and I both agree that without Wendy we would not have had the successful VBAC. She was such a critical member of our team! One of my favorite birth pictures is of my husband crying and embracing her after our baby was born. Wendy will be on our team for all of our future births!
Jack “Grinniger” P: I choose the express birth class for my husband and I. It was a small class setting in a home/business environment only 5 couples total in our Saturday course. I really enjoyed the hands on visual learning that the owner taught and presented to us! I took the course at 30 weeks pregnant and would say that was good timing. I really enjoyed the class and highly recommend to other couples wanting to know what to expect before, during and after the birth of their babies!
