alan karina: This place has the absolute Nashville style chicken I've ever had and I've had A LOT, almost every hot chicken place within 10 miles and some out of state. I cant stop coming back for the juicy chicken and crispy skin. The skin falls off sometimes if you let it sit too long so its best eaten fresh, same with the fries. Michael Kim: Jay Bird's is awesome and very fairly priced! We got the mac & cheese fries with fried chicken on top and Buffalo sauce drizzle. Forgot the name of it, but it was $8.45 or so and was a HUGE portion!My friend got the fried chicken sandwich and loved it, and another friend got the tenders, medium spicy, and said it was super spicy. It was not. I'm Korean though and she's Greek so kinda makes sense! It tasted like smoked paprika with a dash of cayenne?
Man-E Cortez: Another hot chicken review, ok great location at the hangar in Long Beach, clean, and great service, so I tried the chicken sandwich & fries, the chop, and blazing fries. The chop is one chopped chicken tenders spiced with your choice of heat in a mix of coleslaw, chopped pickles, comeback sauce, and Big Sexy sauce I got a hot level tender which was exactly what I been expecting to eat at a hot chicken spot, good idea but execution was off, vinegar on slaw overpowered the taste of everything else, more black pepper to compensate and chicken was scarce with only 1 tender, would recommend you add extra tender for 3 bucks. Next the blazing fries which is one chopped chicken tender, spiced with your choice of heat, mixed with spicy fries, mac n' cheese, comeback sauce, and Big Sexy sauce. I got medium level, great mixture of fries, mac and cheese, comeback sauce, big sexy sauce, but with only 1 chicken tender, definitely good but again will leave you wanting to add another tender if you want good amount of protein to level out all the carbs of fries and Mac and cheese. Finally the chicken sandwich, great sandwich, big and juicy breast breading was just right for me not that crazy breading with just crispy oil in it, medium level was not spicy at all good amount of slaw nothing too overpowering, come back sauce is good but I had better from other places, brioche bun complements everything between them buns, fries are good too, crinkle cut nice and crispy! One of my favorite chicken sandwiches I've had, would recommend the sandwich first and foremost as a real meal everything else as a snack unless you add extra chicken... overall great place for a chicken sandwich would recommend. 😋

Wayne Stickle: I love this place! I have been coming here for 2-3 years and always get two tenders with the really good flavor, Call the Morgue or Death.Not everybody can handle this level of heat but it's the only one I ever get here for me. My wife is a sissy so she sometimes asks me to get the more bland version.Recently, they changed the recipe and it isn't as spicy as it was but still good. Please bring back the original or better yet, step it up a notch and call it "Call the Crematorium".Parking: Parking can be a little challenging but I have always managed to find a spot on Carson. The restaurant has a Carson St. address but is actually on Norse Way.
Miss Wells: today. The sandwich wasn't bad, although it wasn't as flavorful as I remember. Seasoned fries also came with my sandwich. Prices have gone up, but I guess that's the norm everywhere. There wasn't a line when I came in, and I received my food pretty quickly. This location is open until 9 pm, but call ahead to confirm in case hours change.

Marlena Suon: Husband and I really enjoyed our food! A little bit salty but the coleslaw evened it out. Honestly I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but this paired great with the chicken sandwich! The chicken was HUGE! It definitely kept me filled up for the ride home. The Mac & Cheese noodles were also thick which I really liked because it makes it that more fulfilling. I just want to add that Julia was such a sweetheart and I wish we had time to stay and eat because she lights up the place! Next time I think I'd want to kick up the heat but I was worried it might be too spicy for the drive back, haha. If we're ever in town for longer I would go again! Thank you for serving us!

Van Bradley, Sr: I ordered a delicious combo with 2 mild chicken sandwiches and fries. Although it says mild AND the gentleman that helped me said they wouldn't be hot, they were a little to hot for me. Next time I'll just order "Naked" which is supposed to have no kick at all. The fries were also delicious. The chicken sandwiches are a little small, so I ate both. Also, the prices are a little high, but I guess it's ok to have occasionally. The staff was very nice and patient with me. Parking is a little tight, and the parking lot was very dirty.

Jennifer Tang: Not sure what to expect from the outside, but the inside is really cute. We walked in and were greeted by a nice Thai lady who took our order. We got the crispy thai chicken and rice and omg, it's simply phenomenal. I was amazed by the crispiness of the chicken which was so flavorful. The chicken in hainan chicken rice is never the highlight for me, but it was definitely an all star here. But the main draw was the garlic rice. It was so amazing and flavorful with the right amount of ginger and garlic. It really is top notch. Definitely recommend coming here and trying the chicken and rice. I also saw a bunch of people come here for boba so maybe it's worth trying that, too.

I travel a lot so that means I don't come very often, maybe every two months. Not only does she remember it, but she calls me by my name!!!! I was in tears my last visit before last, and she REMEMBERED and noted that it seemed like I was having a better day. She always greets everyone with a smile, and I look forward to each visit. Armando: The best chicken in all of Long Beach and beyond! Had the Papa Charo, the chicken falls off the bone, the signature lemon garlic sauce and the seasoning is the magic you can't get anywhere else! The pinto beans are soft and juicy, mix it with the rice and it's amazing! It's been a couple of years since I moved out of long beach and was lucky enough to be passing by! Perfect just as always!
