Jam Sukumar: A few years ago, when Anjappar first opened its doors, the cuisine was truly delightful. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a noticeable decline in both the flavor of the food and the quality of service. The once excellent dining experience seemed to have lost its touch. Nevertheless, in a recent visit, I was pleased to find that Anjappar has successfully regained its initial high standards. The flavors transported me back to the authentic taste of Chennai, and it's evident that they have worked to restore their former glory. Actually, I've enjoyed eating there many times in the last two weeks.
Rock Cockson: Fantastic food. Biryanis were flavorful, especially the chicken. Potato dosas are always a great treat, with awesome chutneys. The goat pepper curry in particular is so tender and flavorful. Don't let the ghost pepper scare you, I'm kind of bad with spicy food but the goat taste comes through plenty. Not quite like birria, but the vibe is there.The imported Indian beers are pretty solid. I'm a big fan of Old Monk, and Flying Horse is great too. Kingfisher is the Indian mainstay and that's decent too.The service is really attentive and responsive. They added a little end table when we needed more room for trays, and they answered all our questions about the food and Indian cultures in general. They're really friendly and personable. Shout out to VJ.This place was recommended by one of my Indian friends, and it was our group's second time there. It was even better this time than the last.

Lydia Ernest: I've been going to Anjappar's since they opened in Orange County. I liked the food but the spice overpowered the wonderful flavors. It was so disappointing, because there are not many good South Indian restaurants in OC. I went back a month ago and was delighted to see that the spice did not take over the dish! It was flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. Of course there are dishes that are meant to be spicy. You "spice-o- philes" will not be disappointed. The staff are very friendly, helpful, courteous, and attentive. A special shout out to Tushar! Excellent service. Sorry! I forgot the other names. No other restaurant serves such a variety of dishes! Prices are very reasonable compared to others in the Area.Vegetarian options: Their vegetarian thali is amazing!Dietary restrictions: There are many options for Diabetics and those on any kind of diet.

Emiko Kawashima: , and it’s $18.99 per person. So many varieties of Indian food, including salad, dessert, chai and appetizers, and I think it’s a bargain! We stayed there for quite a long time, and the waiter was very kind to check in on us a few times. We would definitely return, as dishes tasted great!!

G Wepp (West Coast Thinker): One of the best Indian cuisine around souther cali area. All the staff is friendly. The food is delicious. It may be on the expensive side but it is well worth the dollars. Especially if you are dining in, the staff is polite and on top of their game making sure you are always tended to, regardless if it is busy. I try to come here once a week.
