Eve Astarte: In the best part of downtown Long Beach... if youre not too prententous... you'll love it here! trust me.A little cramped in some rooms, but it's a HoT modern take on an old Long Beach building! As I said, the room was a little cramped but it was only myself and another person, so it was sufficient for that and that only. Our room was up two flights of stairs thru in a diagonal door in the hallway, and for how small the room was the bathroom was relatively spacious. With a stand up shower, the room had an air-conditioning unit in the window which worked beautifully, there was a microwave, and iron, and all the amenities needed in the room. We felt a little apprehensive with making noise because we sensed that sound traveled easily around that building. But I still give it 5 stars if not just for ingenuity in what they've accomplished with limited space! it's like on that show TinyHouseHunting!

Haley G: Very cute and clean hotel. The staff was very helpful and carried our heavy luggage up and down the stairs as they do not have elevators. It was close to good restaurants and 1 mile away from the Carnival cruise ship port. The only downfall was there was not a shuttle to take us to the port so you have to Uber or taxi which was $50 for a 1 mile drive as you cannot walk to port. Overall highly recommend this hotel!

My carrier on bag barley fit through. I will include a carrier on compared to the room or TV to put things in perspective.I don’t know how building passed codeWith the toilet so close to the shower. Rosy the beautiful smile was there on this visit. I was on a knee scooter the first time. Maybe I was put in a normal sized bed room before. If you have any medical devices or WC this room wouldn’t work.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1st stay:I am so glad I found this place. I frequently come to Long Beach but this was my first stay at Hotel Royal. I was greeted by a warm kind face. Her name was Rosy and she made sure I was settled into my room. It’s set up more like an AirBnb. The room was super cute and most importantly very clean. There was a hair dryer, iron, microwave, and fridge. Throughout my stay Rosy was attentive and ensured that I was happy and comfortable with my room. I’ve experienced no other hotel in Long Beach like it. I am going back again tomorrow for a short stay and booked my husband there for a stay next month.

The rooms are comfortable, but second and third story rooms are walk-ups, so take into consideration that everyone in your party can handle that.Just down the street is a marina, some restaurants, shops, and a Ralph's grocery store, with a pharmacy.The room amenities include a coffee maker. a microwave, and a small fridge.
MS SHONNIE “shonnie” Hudson: I attended club bounce near the hotel, and had a great time , the bartender I had was a sweet guy, service was great, the only problem I had was the other bartender had a dirty white bandage on his first finger and I felt like maybe a glove would have been better considering he was picking up the lemons and squeezing it into the drinks, yucky 🤢🤢🤢 and I politely went elsewhere to the other guy, but other than that we had a freaking awesome time, thus the four star ✨ rating. If dude's had a glove it would be five stars.
Gina Megas: Had a little hiccup to start that was quickly resolved. Rooms were clean, comfortable and accommodating. The pool and jacuzzi temperatures were perfect! And the staff was AMAZING!!! Incredible customer service from the leadership of the terrific hotel manager to maintenance! Absolutely awesome! Ms. Mara Thorpe: could rise up that high but really no sign of it. I love a cold room so we slept with the sliders shut and the AC on. Great AC!!! We stay here often during the year SPECIFICALLY for the giant bathtub/jacuzzi rooms. The suite was a nice experience but I am looking forward to booking another giant bathtub jacuzzi room very soon!Rooms: Older carpets and decor but it is a very clean hotel. A decent price. Great location. Hardworking caring staff.Nearby activities: I love this location! So many restaurants so close and even more for only a short drive! It's near the back bay, Mother's Beach, it's not far at all to Belmont Shore or to the peninsula, my FAVORITIST beach! There is a movie theater right across the way. CSULB is just a short drive and their Carpenter Performing Arts has great plays and such.Safety: The property is well lit. Personally I've not had any problems with strange people lurking around or rooms/guests that were too loud. I feel safe and secure there.

Grem lynn: There is no house keeping unless you ask for it 24 hours in advance, which felt odd to me. The sinks were kind of clogged, but over all, a very pleasant experience. My room definitely did not have a view of the marina, maybe others do, but don't expect it unless you've requested it. The pillows were a nightmare - hard and lumpy - I actually used my cardigan as my pillow after the first night. The few staff you do come across were pleasant. I would book here again- I would definitely bring my own pillow

Gerri Scott: It is 20 minutes from a lot of.places. it is a clean hotel. Bathroom was just done. We needed it for one night and was comfortable.Rooms: Big room very clean and comfortable. Need tissues for nose. Pillows are soft. I slept good

Scott: I stay here for work in the area every 6 months. It's 3 minutes from my job, so location couldn't be better. It's also close to the crooked duck and that place is great for local cuisine and a good beer selection for an eclectic beer nerd like myself. It's a nice hotel and I recommend it for that. There's no breakfast of any sort, but they have coffee in the lobby. Wifi, microwave, coffee maker, tiny fridge, nice bathroom and shower, beds used to be really nice, but they probably need replacing in the next few years

The interiors were nice and the front desk staff were polite and very helpful.I didn't have a car so I had to use Uber exclusively to get around. It was never that hard to get an Uber as it is located in a central location in Long Beach.

SoKly Kim: We had such a great time here for 6 days n 5 nights! Location was perfect and in walking distance to many stores & restaurants. Room was clean and spacious. Eric Alizada: We stayed in this hotel for one night with 2 kids. The hotel's location is good, as it is close to Shorline Aqua Park and Pacific Aquarium. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was included in the hotel price, but it was served late and didn't meet our expectations. Generally, the hotel is decent, but it is not cheaper compared to other hotels. We chose street parking, as overnight parking is free. The hotel parking is expensive.

S D: This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We didn't even really stay here because of LB but because last year we stayed here we just loved the hotel atmosphere so much. The rooms are relaxing and it's nice that the TV is adjustable for when laying in bed or sitting on the couch. Staff is super friendly and overall nice and clean hotel. Would 100% reccomend!
Fernando Rico Jr: This is a really nice and luxurious property. It is really close to shops, restaurants, and all the tourist attractions you would want to visit. The rooms were appointed very well and had a lot of cool features. The climate controls and TV had a lot of useful tech built in. The pool deck was really cool. You have great views of the city in every direction. Very good atmosphere and vibes for lounging in and around the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel.

C Zhang: Perfect location with numerous nearby activities! Despite visiting in the cold winter, we managed to explore the aquarium and beach. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and accommodating.Nearby activities: Whale watching was a fantastic experience! Witnessed a magnificent whale and a large group of dolphins. The only challenge was the cold weather in January out there in the ocean. Nonetheless, it was an unforgettable adventure!
Andy: Rooms: Nice rooms as expectedWalkability: Located walking distance to ship, movie theater, restaurants.Noteworthy details: A lot of loud annoying cars typical of Long Beach. Race cars during the LBGP are fine, but these were pesky Chargers and Infinitis.
Elaine C. (Lanie): We stayed here for my husband's business trip. The room was amazing. The location was great. We didn't rent a car, so we walked to nearby shops and restaurants. It was quiet. We enjoyed spending time at the little fire pit and relaxing. The rooftop pool was amazing. It was too chilly to swim, but we relaxed on the huge couches. We searched all over Long Beach for the perfect margarita. It turns out that the downstairs bartender made the best one we found. Hands down it was amazing! If we visit Long Beach again, we will certainly stay here! Everyone was sooooo friendly!!!!
NK Y: I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights.The room is cosy and I really do love it. I will definitely come again, but the downside is the shower clogs and will need sometime for the water to clear to the drainage. You’ll have a bit of pooling in the shower.The housekeeping isn’t so good cause they don’t clean the room everyday.The hotel has this really cosy open area at the first floor for u to have a chat with friends and family and there’s also a heater at one of the table. It’s a really wonderful stay.The location is close to outlet clothes store and I really recommend, but the area lacks toiletries store or market to buy groceries or food you can snack in the hotel. Otherwise there’s Starbucks there.Safety: No safety issue at all while I was there. I stayed alone and felt safe.

Arun Madhavan: was great, as were the nearby attractions and restaurants. The hotel bar and pool area - which has its own bar - were great too. The gym had plenty of equipment, including two Pelotons.My only complaint is that the rooms should include a refrigerator and microwave. Otherwise, we had a great stay here!Rooms: Overall very good, with plenty of charging ports
Vittorio Montanaro: even because we were coming from a long trip with delayed flight. and we enjoy a lot our stay. The market place in the hotel is convenient for the 10$ bonus per night of the hotel end the espresso coffee is is also really acceptable.
Brian Houle: The gym was pretty nice. If you’re going for a convention it’s a quick walk to the convention center.
Melissa Cross Hadley: I used Resort Pass to purchase a day pass for the pool. My toddlers loved it and made lots of friends. The pizza was a hit with the kiddos. I loved the poke bowl.
ALICIA BOZARTH: I love this hotel! I booked it not realizing it during the Anime LA convention, but it ended up being not so bad at all! Got a room with the view of the Queen Mary and the cruise terminal with both beautiful sunrise and sunset. It is walking distance to eateries and parks. I love the swan boats that you can rent in the front of the hotel, they are too cute! The food at the market place was delicious and valet parking was a breeze. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone for both business and vaycay!

It was a peaceful stay, and when I woke up, I didn't hear the sounds of the city. It was so quiet looking out over the city of Long Beach.I loved the ambiance of the lobby and Café. Even an art gallery installation supported the local art scene.Onsite secured parking was available, and its location is walkable to the convention center and ocean walk. The staff was accommodatingRooms: King size bed was so comfy I couldn't wait to return to the room.The bathroom was also comfortable, and the tub was not handicapped accessible but low enough to enter for the shower.I didn't hear the TV from the other rooms, which speaks to the quality of the built space.Nearby activities: Long Beaxh Conversation CenterFood & drinks: I had a business breakfast with my clients at the Promenade Cafe, and the food was affordable from the menu.I'm on a diabetic diet, and I was pleased to see that I had the option of having a salad instead of potatoes with my omelet.I had the buffet on my last day and saw people enjoying the food, and the cost was applied to my food and beverage credit of $25 per day.
