John Ochoa: I was recommended to see Dr. Desa because of a groin pain I was experiencing. I had lifted some seriously heavy equipment one too many times. He said I definatly had some serious issues in the groin area but he noticed I had a rupture in my belly as well. So I went from dual to triple hernia. He instantly put me at ease explaining what needed to be done. A simple procedure that will be an "out patient", and I'd be home recovering instead of in a hospital. He said, there are 100's done every week, and I shouldn't worry. And you know what? I wasn't. His office staff was very nice to me, and told me everything I needed to know. They set up everything with insurance and the hospital to be used and I was able to have the procedure a few weeks later.Once I had the surgery, I was so relieved. The pain was gone and while I did have pain from the surgery at the spots where the incisions were made, I was very comfortable and pleased with the process. My recovery has gone as expected. Minimal discomfort, nothing serious. The visit to the doctor a week later confirmed a successful procedure, all my questions were answered and I was assured I was on the right track. I'm very pleased with the entire process from first visit, to good byes. Professional staff, great doctor and great results. When I met him, we discussed about my situation and I decided he was the right doctor for me.He ended up doing robotic abdominal surgery at St. Mary's in downtown LB.
