Tony Garcia: It was Beuatiful

Danka Chiang: Poppy only open during the day time.

Chien-Chang Chen: The flowers is not that dense at this trail, but you can see the flowers on the hills at top. This trail is quite flat so it's suitable for people who don't like to hike up too much. Also, you can see the snow mountain on the south east.

Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park: what do users think?

Edgar Sanchez: I can't believe the individuals that actually roam around the inside of a desert wilderness is the most scariest thing you've ever been. Make sure you take yourself a weapon or your well accompanied their snakes

Valérie Lent: Park on the side of the road. There are two trails, 1/4 mile or 1 mile. The 1 mile nature trail is about rare junipers. It's very informative. I go to the desert a lot but learned a lot of fun facts about junipers. The other, shorter loop is more of an introduction to the desert environment. The scenery is gorgeous, this was a very peaceful stroll.

Piroska Keri: .It’s still amazing to see nature’s wonders.

Edward Bartlett: Excellent 1 mile loop trail through Joshua Tree and Juniper desert “woodlands.” Part by side of the road

andrew friend: Sweet little park in the middle of nowhere

Dade Turner: Spring is beautiful herePicnic area: It has 2 nice shaded picnic tables.

Kevin Webb: There's magic here. This from a once born skeptic. Something, mystical, spiritual. If you meditate, bring your mat. Or bring a folding chair, find a spot and enjoy the peace. It will probably be windy but deep inside the grove you should be shielded from the worst of it. Very short .3 mile trail and another 1mile. They are sorta maintained but you can get off trail. We did but not a big deal. Easy enough to find your way back. Scan the nar code at the guide post and you'll be directed to a narrative for each of the numbered posts along the trails. Its beautiful. Its peaceful. Its wonderful.

Bo: I loved it, I learned all about the desert plants and animals which I've wanted to learn for a long time. The pamphlets are great, I left with an education!

John Brown: Very cool little place to tell around. It's crazy to imagine the entire valley little looking like that at one time.

Patrice: Thankfully a piece of desert that was saved as a state park, full of Joshua trees and wildlife. No dogs on trails and maintained porta potty.Restrooms: Porta potty

TSideWes805: Home to the western subspecies of yucca brevifolia, known as the Joshua tree. The western variety is more endangered than it's eastern counterpart.

Rick Simper: This is a nice little State Park where you can go for a walk and a picnic. It wasn't crowded when we went there today. There is a picnic table and shade structure so you can enjoy a picnic with the family. They even planned ahead when they built the shade structure and included a solid wall to block the winds. There are two interpretive trails you can walk. They have a post with paper maps and descriptions of points of interest for both trails, making this an educational hike for adults and kids. One hike is a short .3 mile hike we did with our kids. The other is longer, which we did not do. The .3 mile hike was super simple and I would imagine the other is simple as well since the terrain appears to be the same. They included an information kiosk describing some of the main plants within the park. The trails were clean and the park appeared to be well maintained. There were two outhouses there and the one we used was clean for outhouse standards. There is no official parking lot. You park along the street and enter through the pedestrian opening. This means there is no accessible parking. There are no paved paths, making this a non-accessible park.If you are in the area, I would recommend checking it out. It gets hot here in the desert and there isn't much shade here, so plan accordingly.

g shute: peace. beauty. quiet.

jade Sofía dominguez: I love him 💕

D. Bell: Nice area, nice family outing

Larry McFarland: Picnic area: Oicnic tables and firepits

Gil Atencio: Excellent

D Barnes: A beautiful high desert environment. Many blooming desert flowers from the recent rain

Thomasaurus: Restrooms: Extremely clean and well maintained bathrooms, plenty of toilet paper and no unpleasent smells.

562 Trucker: Love to relax here

Richard Hunter: Having visited and enjoyed the spot many times over the years I highly recommend a visit. I was really surprised to find they have a wonderful wheel chair accessible path between the picnic and camping areas there. Somehow I hadn't noticed previously, a real bonus as the places to push my m-in-law are fairly limited.

Diana Potoski: Personal Shared Orientated Visit. Humidity, Dry Desert And Personal Extremity Visitors Section. Picnic Chair, Take, Barbeque for long stayers. Can Camp Over .. Limited Facilities.

Aleksei Adamov: The place is beautiful if you want to see the desert. There is a toilet and a place for grilling and relaxing in the shade. Shops are very far away, so you need to pick up groceries in advance.

Valérie Lent: There s pretty nature trail loop behind the visor center. There's also a hike to the Butte flat initially, then ascending toward the top.
