Gonzalo Guajardo: Great to spend the day with the family, whether for a quick grill or picnic, or those much needed walks with dogs or bike rides around the lake. Playgrounds and bathrooms. People do go there fishing as well. I have been going there since I was a kid, when they used to have the apollo capsule displayed, but that's gone. Only thing I would change would be the hours, leave it open till midnight! They kick you out at sunset

Positively Radiant: I grew up here, nothing like spending the night with a view of the desert night sky! So clear and BIG it seems! You won’t be disappointed year round. So much wildlife to see.
Miguel Montesdeoca: Great place to relax and enjoy the tranquility.
Mia Monique M B: The beauty of the desert 💞👍
Steve Meier: Although this says "Butte Valley Wildflower Sanctuary" the sign says "Butte Valley Wildlife Sanctuary." The tiny yellow wildflowers are amazing this year. The Joshua trees here are huge. It's nice to wander around, and find those little things that are easily missed.

J Sun: The fantastic Antelope Valley Audubon Society meets here for programs. Always attend those presentations and engagements. The staff at the place is amazingly friendly. And it is a beautiful place to catch a bit of a respite from the city and the constant noise. It's a bit more faint at this preserve. A wonderful local community variable to have.

Mark McGovern: It is located in the Wildlife Preserve. This place is an oasis in the middle of a busy city. Nice place to escape for the noisy and clutter of society. Make sure to pay respect to the area. Nice place for Pokemon Go as well.
