Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to stand up and ride a wave? Give yourself, your child, or a friend the opportunity to become involved in the exhilarating sport of surfing. Jeff has over 35 years of surfing experience and will create a safe and comfortable learning environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience Jeff will give you the tools to take your surfing to the next level.

I teach at Orange and LA Counties' safest spots where there are no rocks making it much safer to get in and out of the water. Each surf lesson starts on the sand, I'll discuss safety, equipment, and how to properly stand up on a surfboard. I then take the students to the water where we practice how to paddle, sit on the board and stand up. The only prerequisite is that every student must be a proficient swimmer. All equipment is included in the lesson. I use state-of-the-art soft top surfboards which are very safe and made up of the same material as a boogie board. I also provide full-length wetsuits to keep you nice and warm throughout your lesson.

This is our most popular lesson and the best way to learn surfing for all ages. Includes surfboard and good full wetsuit, twenty minutes of safety and land instruction, and 90+ minutes* with your coaches in the waves. Perfect for families: We’ll provide as many instructors as needed to keep youngsters safe. Also provides the most flexibility for disabled and “silver surfers”, as well as experienced surfers looking to improve – A good investment in your safety and water skills!

11AM Daily is our “join the party” adult surf lesson for ages 14 & up. Perfect for the solo traveler on a budget, it includes surfboards, good full wetsuits, 15 minutes of beach instruction, and ~80 minutes* with your coach in the waves. Staffing at one instructor for every 3-4 students insures that everyone has a great time!

Banzai’s claim-to-fame summer surf camp now includes your action surf photos and a t-shirt! Largely for kids (median age is around 14), but open to all ages 6 and over. Surf Camp runs Monday thru Friday every week of summer from 8:30 to 12:30, and most of that is water-time! (Some kids grow gills : ). Staffing is one instructor per 2-5 students, depending on conditions. We provide the surfboards, wetsuits, and all the sand they can eat. : )

Summertime is my absolute favorite time to surf. Nothing beats the warm water, the relaxed vibe in the air, and the sand on your feet as you sit down for a post-surf session burger. Like a double-double from In-N-Out, or a California burrito from the local Mexican food joint, there is one board I can always count on to deliver a solid summer surf. My 8-foot Wavestorm never leaves my car during the summer, and I’ll tell you why.

I don’t always know exactly what the conditions are going to be like when I go to the beach during the summer and I don’t always know how long I will be there, but I know without a doubt that my Wavestorm will work in any conditions thrown at it.
