I have merged my practice with the UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute! I have moved my private practice to their state of the art Irvine location on the UCI Campus. Together with my new pediatric ophthalmology colleagues, Donny Suh, MD and Charlotte Gore, MD, we will have availabilities for you every day of the week.

I am very excited to be part of the UCI Gavin Herbert Eye Institute Pediatric Ophthalmology team after all these years of solo private practice. The Institute is a full-service Ophthalmology Center, including specialists in cataract, glaucoma, neuro ophthalmology, oculoplastics and retina.

In addition to seeing my private practice patients, I will also do some teaching. I actually started my career at UCI many years ago.

Dr. Nika Omid, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist, Eye Physician and Surgeon. She graduated among the top of her class with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa distinctions from the University of California, San Diego in 2001 with degrees in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology with Honors. Dr. Omid then attended medical school at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine where she was the recipient of the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship and a National Eye Institute Grant. After completing her internship at University of California San Diego School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, she went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at University of California Irvine, Gavin Herbert Eye Institute.

Dr. Omid’s expertise in laser cataract surgery and implantation of monofocal, toric, accommodating, multifocal, trifocal, and extended-depth-of-focus lens implants provides our patients with the most advanced vision-correcting options.
