4worldlovers: The rental boats at the docks are available at limited times. The fire pits at South Lake Beach Club are open for member use subject to the rules for the use of the fire pits. See the rules below for more information.

Member-owned boats that are stored on the docks are accessible during beach club operating hours.

The lagoons are unique, water play facilities located at North Lake Beach Club and South Lake Beach Club immediately adjacent to our landmark lakes. These facilities include sand areas for lounging and play, and multiple water slides. Fire pits, charcoal barbecue facilities and sand volleyball courts are available, and there are also boat docks at each lagoon with boats available for rent when Lifeguards are on duty. The Association also offers the Beach Club facilities on a limited basis for reservations for private functions.

The lagoons are open every summer from approximately Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The lagoons are currently closed for swimming for the season.

The Beach Clubs are open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. except that North Lake Beach Club is closed until 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays for maintenance and South Lake Beach Club is closed until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for maintenance. Although these facilities are open until 10:00 p.m. daily, please note that swimming in the lagoons is only permitted until dusk. The rock islands in each lagoon are also closed at dusk daily.

Lifeguard hours vary for the lagoons and docks. The lagoons are generally staffed with Lifeguards during the summer season daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends. After Labor Day the lagoons are staffed with Lifeguards on the weekends only from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (based on Lifeguard availability) until the lagoons are drained for the season in mid-September. In October, the docks have an alternating schedule and are open only one day per weekend each. The times are adjusted to 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the spring, the times are adjusted to 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. until the summer schedule begins. (a) During staffed hours, only United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved life jackets are permitted within the Association pools, waders, spas or the lagoons. Individuals wearing USCG approved life jackets shall be under the direct supervision of a responsible, water-safe custodian/guardian. Direct supervision is defined as in the water and within arms-length contact.

(b) Flotation devices are not permitted in non-staffed pools, waders, spas or the lagoons unless under the direct supervision of a responsible, water-safe custodian/guardian. Direct supervision is defined as in the water and within arms-length contact with the child. The Association strongly recommends that swimmers use only USCG approved life jackets at non-staffed facilities.

The Beach Clubs are available on a limited basis for reservations. Due to popular demand and limited availability, we recommend that you contact our Member Services staff at 949/786-1800 to learn more about reserving one of the Beach Clubs for a private event and to check on availability. There are 4 fire pits available at the South Lake Beach Club for use by members. These fire pits bring a beach atmosphere home to Woodbridge.

Rule 445 of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) was established in 2014 by AQMD to restrict the uses of Wood Burning Devices during the Winter Months of November, December, January, and February when AQMD determines that the wintertime air quality is forecast to be unhealthy.

As a result, when a "No Burn" day is declared by AQMD, the burning of wood in the fire pits at the South Lake Beach Club is prohibited. When a "No Burn" day has been declared, the Association staff will post signs at the main gate at the South Lake Beach Club notifying members that wood may not be burned in the fire pits on that particular day. Please note that the burning of charcoal is permitted on "No Burn" days.
