4worldlovers: From 1994 to 2016 Families For Children, Inc (FFC) provided temporary safe and caring "foster" homes for thousands of abused and neglected children living in out-of-home care while providing hundreds of "forever" homes to children in need of family permanency. Our work in foster care and adoption has been significant and life changing!

A significant number of biological parents of children placed in our agency were experiencing substance abuse challenges and Families for Children began to address this treatment need. In 2012 as part of our service delivery model, FFC transitioned from working solely in foster care and adoptions to expanding adult services in the area of substance abuse treatment. FFC became State Licensed and Medi-Cal Certified as an Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment program.

We are now FFC Spiritual and Behavioral Health Center, accredited as a Healthcare organization by the Joint Commission.

Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment – Biopsychosocial assessments, confidential individual and group telehealth sessions, case management, co-occurring disorders, and housing referrals for Medi-Cal clientele.

Victims of Crime Mental Health - Providing no-cost therapy sessions and case management services to direct adult or minor victims of crime. (police report required)
