Welcome to "Sheared Sheep"We often hear our customers refer to our shop as "the Sheep”. We have been your local yarn shop since 2005. We were located in Costa Mesa for 6 years. We have relocated to Newport Beach in charming Westcliff Court. Our new location is nestled in a cozy courtyard off the main walkway. The courtyard is a calming beautiful area through which you pass to enter our store. Our many lavish fibers and colors are enough to tempt even the most discerning knitter and crocheter. With our cozy and friendly vibe, there is always something new to learn at the Sheared Sheep.


We pride ourselves in being your local yarn shop. We encourage a friendly environment and hope you will return often. As our Master Knitter and teacher, Martha often says, "Knit faster, buy more yarn”.

4worldlovers: We have a variety of classes for knitting, crochet and weaving. A new class schedule is posted every two months. Class descriptions will explain technique, skill level and materials required. For inspiration, come in to see our class models.


We are working with The Yarn Angels of South Bay. Charity knitters meet in our Annex the third Wednesday of every month from 1:00 - 3:00pm. There are pattern suggestions to get you started and yarn available for your use. All our welcome - it's social knitting with a purpose.


You've taken a class, but you still need help to complete your project? We're here for you every Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 and Friday afternoon from 11:30 - 1:00, cost is $8.00. Social Knitting is also every Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 (free). Our customers are lovely people that are always welcoming to newcomers.
