4worldlovers: We are open M-F Noon-5:30 and Weekends 10-3. You can see the schedules for in person classes here. Class sizes are 4-6 students MAX & MASKS are required. We love to help provide you with sewing supplies and stock a range of fabrics as well as tools and notions. You can view most of our supplies in our Etsy Shop, but are welcome to visit us in person, while wearing a mask.

Fashion Studies is an accelerated Fashion program for Middle and High School Students. In this semester long program, students learn the fundamentals of Fashion Design while being taught & mentored by industry professionals.


Through this program, students build a strong foundation of fashion centered skills while building their portfolio(s) and preparing for deeper study.


During the School Year, we offer classes After School on Mondays and Fridays for children ages 8 and up. Saturday classes are also available year round.


We like to create an atmosphere of creative play and are here to make your child’s sewing experience the best it can be.

Pre-requisite - All students must first take Machine Basics or already know how to operate the Sewing Machine.

If you have never sewn before, our Machine Basics Class is the the best place to start. Beginners through advanced students, who already know how to operate the machine may take our Weekly Studio Classes. Our instructors have been trained to guide you through the process of sewing and reading a pattern. A private lesson provides you with one-on-one hands on instruction, giving you the confidence to move forward. The next step would be weekly sewing classes.

At THE SEWING ROOM we specialize in Apparel Sewing and Fashion. Our instructors have experience with garment fit, construction, design in both the fashion industry as well costuming. We love to share our expertise with our students and believe that sewing is SUPER FUN! And it’s also a great skill that may save you money, challenge your brain and give you a terrific wardrobe.

We are open for appointments, store pickup, phone orders & online orders. You can place an online order and note that you want Store Pickup if you do not want us to ship it. If you want to place an order over the phone or via e-mail, be sure to tell us you want store pickup and give us your contact information. We are available by phone, e-mail and for store pickup and appointments Tue-Sat 11-3pm.

In person store appointments are typically for an hour but can be longer. We try to keep it to a maximum of 4 people at a time. If you are immune compromised let us know that you want to ensure no one else is here aside from staff, during your appointment. If you are coughing or have cold symptoms, we requests you wear a mask, otherwise they are not required.

If you would like to make an appointment to visit in-person you can call us or e-mail us (please put Appointment in the subject line). E-mail works best for appointments not on the same day since we read that after store hours. If you are in the area and need to stop by, just give us a call and we can see what the schedule looks like. Most often we are able to accommodate drop in visits as long as we don't have a large group in the store. But an appointment are always the best option.

Please note, we are NOT in the shopping center, we are in a small office complex (Mash Mariner Square) at the corner of Mariner Square Loop, Marina Village Parkway and Mariner Square Drive (yes, it's a bit odd). We have created a Sarah Rinder 1841 Facebook group for our year long stitch-a-long, which you are invited to join. Cheri Cluff Edington has graciously agreed to lead Sarah's SAL for us. While at Jean Lea's Sampler Symposium in January, Cheri, Cathe and Nicola recorded a video with the model of Sarah Rinder 1841 discussing the design which is posted on our YouTube Channel.
