4worldlovers: The Hollywood Cross (also known as the Hollywood Pilgrimage Memorial Monument) is a 32-foot high, steel cross and historic-cultural monument (#617) in Hollywood, California. Located just above the Ford Amphitheatre and overlooking the Cahuenga Pass, Hollywood Freeway and Hollywood Bowl, it was originally erected as a memorial for Christine Wetherill Stevenson and is now owned by The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California.

Hollywood Cross is on a small hill next to the Hollywood Freeway. There isn't a designated park or even a well-maintained the trail for the cross, just a wild trail starting from the end of Cahuenga Terrace at Cahuenga Boulevard. The trail is visible, and not hard to follow, but quite steep and sandy, therefore it isn't an easy job even though it's a short trail. The trail continues long after the cross but there is no outlet on the other side. The views at the cross are ok. If you go up a little more, the views will open up a lot.

Short trail starts off Cahuenga Blvd before the ford. Hollywood Cross isn't that great but the views of LA are gorgeous.
