4worldlovers: Good, but not great sushi. very conveniently located for me so I come here often and it's consistently satisfying, with fast and friendly service. favorites are the veggie tempura hand roll (pictured, only $4.50) and salmon sushi (always like butter, I believe $4.25). most of their fancy rolls are just California rolls with fresh fish on top, for $10+ so I usually stick to a few cheaper options instead here.

Some of the best sushi I've had in a while! Also, the plum wine was superb and the mochi ice cream was delicious. The staff was friendly. I look forward to my next visit.

Great sushi find in Glendale. Not like the touristy places around here, this is the real deal with great omakase and fresh. Recommend the Japanese omakase if you like uni.

The sheer confidence of this place, being neighbors with a CPK and an Olive Garden, should pique your interest alone. The chef delivers an omakase that is expansive, innovative, and playful, right down to the smiley-faced radish slices. It’s hard to pick a high note, but for me, it was the blue crab hand roll, made right at your table. This place isn’t cheap, but the experience will reward you, dollar for dollar, exponentially more than buffalo chicken pizza and infinite breadsticks.

Had a wonderful experience at Sushi Sasabune. If you're looking for the best sushi in Glendale, look no further. I come here a few times a month. I sat at the Sushi Bar for the Omakase experience and spoke with the chef's throughout the courses. They were very friendly and informative about all of the dishes throughout the night. Knew where all of the fish were caught and of course prepared them themselves. The rice at Sasabune was very unique compared to most sushi restaurants and had a lot more flavor with every bite. It has become my favorite sushi rice over time. It was very tasty and complimented the dishes nicely. At first I thought it overpowered some of the more delicate fish, but over time I wonder how I ever ate sushi with any other rice. Wonderful meal and high quality sushi! On the pricey side, but you come here for the excellent quality and know what you're getting. I can't wait to come back! Pro-tip, the chef's like Yamahai Sake
