The Burbank Animal Shelter has been providing quality Animal Control services since the 1950’s. Our mission is to return lost animals to their owners, to find loving homes for stray animals and to control overpopulation through consistent spay/neuter efforts. We strive to eliminate animal suffering by educating the public and enforcing the humane treatment of animals.

Licensing is required for all dogs and horses in the City of Burbank. The Burbank Animal Shelter licenses dogs, cats and horses for City of Burbank residents only.

Request animal related services related to reporting animal bites to humans, dead domestic or wild animal, non-urgent humane condition, overlimit of animals, noisy animal, loose dog or cat, and/or unsanitary conditions.

Kitten Rescue was founded in the spring of 1997 and has grown to be one of the largest and most respected animal welfare groups in Los Angeles. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving new homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. Kitten Rescue volunteers place over 1,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. Since we began, we have rescued and placed over 31,000 cats (and counting!) into loving homes.

GreySave is a greyhound adoption and support group in Southern California. While the majority of GreySave's greyhounds come from the Caliente racetrack in Tijuana, Mexico, we also take in racing greyhounds found in animal shelters, from individuals who can no longer care for them and occasionally get young hounds that did not race and older hounds from kennels in the mid-west. GreySave provides a safety net for all of our previously adopted greyhounds ​and those that have moved to Southern California by always accepting them into the GreySave family.
