We are located at 9304 Mission Boulevard, Rosemead 91770. We are the closest place of worship for Sikhs and believers of other faith located in the cities of Alhambra, Arcadia, Duarte, Temple City, Rosemead, San Gabriel, El Monte, Monrovia, Monterey Park, San Marino and Pasadena. The Gurdwara is open to the public seven days a week, from 5 am to 9 pm. The daily services are as follows:

4 am – Parkaash of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji: The ceremonial installation of Guru Maharaj as embodied in the holy scripture. This is followed by Nitnem, the recitation of five morning scriptures. At the end of the service, the Ardaas, or the supplication is performed, and the Kadah Parshaad, the blessed offering, is distributed amongst the attendees.

During the day – Devotees are welcome to come by the Gurdwara throughout the day to offer prayers or conduct religious chanting, either individually or as a group. You are requested to contact the Gurdwara if you wish to hold a service involving larger groups, so that adequate preparation may be made.

6.30 pm – Evening services start at 6.30 pm, with the recitation of Rehraas Sahib, followed by Aarti, keertan, katha and finally Ardaas.

7.30 pm – Sukh Aasan sewa: The ceremonial end-of-day service, which involves respectfully transporting the holy scripture to the place of rest for the night. This is followed by vegetarian meals for all attendees.

In addition to the above, the Gurdwara is also a place where various life events are commemorated and celebrated, including birth, weddings, personal achievements. Funerals and Antim Ardaas ceremonies are also conducted in accordance with the Sikh principles.

Sunday morning services are more elaborate and start at 11.30 am, concluding at 1 pm followed by lunch. Special deewans are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the evenings. The Gurdwara also offers Punjabi language and Gurmat classes, alongside tabla and keertan lessons for those interested. We will shortly begin offering Gatka, or traditional Martial arts classes as well.

4worldlovers: Guru Amardas Sahib, the Third Nanak was born at village Basarke Gillan in Amritsar district on Vaisakh Sudi 14th, (8th Jeth), Samvat 1536 (5th May 1479). (Some chronicles mention the month of April 1479). His father Tej Bhan Bhalla and mother Bakht Kaur (also reffered as Sulakhani and Lakhmi Devi) were orhtodox Hindus and used to pay annual visits to the Ganges river at Haridwar. Guru Amardas Sahib was married to Mata Mansa Devi ji and had four childern: two daughters; Bibi Dani ji and Bibi Bhani ji (she was married to Guru Ramdass Sahib), and two sons; Mohan ji and Mohri ji. He strengthened the tradition of ‘Guru ka Langer’ and made it compulsory for the visitor to the Guru saying that ‘Pehle Pangat Phir Sangat’.
