4worldlovers: Crystal Image Farms is owned and operated by Denize Borges. She works with her staff of eight on the horses' and clients' care, feeding, cleaning, maintenance and teaching. Denize also schools her assistants on training horses and helps to devise all of the teaching plans and curriculum. Denize attends all of the horse shows with the clients. With her years of experience in the horse business negotiating sales and contracts, she handles all buying and selling. Denize also oversees all medical, rehab programs and farrier work. Crystal Image Farms is a quality, full care, private hunter-jumper training facility located in the San Francisco Bay Area. After nearly 30 years of business we are proud to continue developing hunter, jumper and equitation riders and their horses from beginners to top notch show riders and competitive horses.

Whether a horse or rider is just starting or seeking a personalized full-training and show program, we have options that will fit a range of goals. Our annual show schedule offers many suitable options for every level of rider. The Crystal Image Farms lesson and lease program also supports every level from the first lesson through the upper levels.

We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

Our complete program groups riders according to experience, but no experience is needed to participate. We teach riding, horsemanship and horse care under the care of our knowledgeable instructors and helpers in small, interactive groups. Minimum suggested age for our campers is 6 years old, and there really is no maximum age! Game day at the end of the session include egg and spoon games, two-point challenges, dollar bill games, tricky trot poles, and Simon Says with your horse. Lots of fun!

Welcome to Spring Down Equestrian Center where life is beautiful but horses make it even better.

We’ve been at the same location for 32 years and serving the Bay Area with exceptional riding lessons and programs. We have many very special, show quality, kind, and safe horses for every level rider – from first time to advanced – who can teach you everything you want to know about riding. Safety is our first priority and fun is our second.

In addition to our incredible horses, we have two lighted arenas. One is covered and the other is our new outdoor arena with unbelievable waterproof, dust-free footing that feels like riding on the beach at low tide all the time, rain or shine, night or day. Boarding available with boxed stalls or paddocks.

We have a full time staff of professional instructors who teach 7 days a week and specialize in English Hunt seat, Dressage, and Western riding. We have many special programs, including Spring, Summer and Holiday camps for all ages, riding clubs, Mommy and Me classes (for Dads too), drill teams where you can ride your horse (or ours) and dance to the music. We have 4 horse shows per year open to the community (again, use your horse or ours), Girl Scout Merit Badges, group celebrations, clinics, and much, much more. 4worldlovers: With new ownership under Abelino Espinoza, we intend to improve what the previous owner had built and developed while updating and expanding the facility. This 80-stall indoor barn has everything an owner will need for their beloved horse. The horses are going to be looked after like babies. It is our intention to bring the best experience to all clients and to make this a unique Equestrian Center for all horses. It is the intention to update and improve this facility under the ownership of Abelino Espinoza’s and we look forward to continuing to build and maintain the relationships we have developed over the years. New ownership, better and improved beautiful facilities.

4worldlovers: We offer English and Western lessons for beginning/new riders through advanced riders. Please refer to our Checklist before your lesson.


Current lesson students have the opportunity to lease lesson program horses based on instructor recommendations.


Riding camps are offered to kids, ages 7 to 18. Both English and Western riding are covered. All camps are based on school breaks. Please review our Checklist prior to attending camp. Please use the links below to register for camps:​

Group trail rides and pony parties are great options for birthdays, youth scouts, and other organized groups. Please review our Checklist prior to your group event.​


Standard package: 1.5 hours with ground instruction, arena instruction, and a guided trail ride

Prior to your lesson, camp, or group event, please review/complete the following:

Riding attire: Long pants, boots, and helmet (loaners available for boots and helmets)

Drive slow on the ranch (10 MPH or 5 MPH when horses are near)
