Rich’s accolades include: State Placer at Oceana High School Wrestling, NCAA- 3X All American for San Francisco State University, 132 career Wins. IBJJF (International Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Federation) Blackbelt, Master 5X World Champion.

His journey started as a young man in High-School with Wrestling, he quickly found himself in love with the competitiveness and brotherhood the sport offered. He continued his dreams in College and in the Army. Rich is very well respected in the Wrestling Arena.

Introduced to Jiu Jitsu 20 years ago by Jay Janeiro, Black Belt, Owner of Evolve Training Center. He quickly embraced the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle. He adds, Jiu Jitsu was very natural for me. I believe it gave my life a deeper meaning. And played a great role in my sobriety from drugs and alcohol. I’m a better human being living clean and sober for over 15 years. I believe, Jiu jitsu transforms lives for the better, there's a level of intelligence in combination with movement that satisfies and feeds the mind and body positivity. It’s beautiful to watch everyone’s journey unfold And become better people in life.

Rich’s Journey includes his work at the California State Prison in Vacaville , CA. He is the Director for the OMCP. A program designed to educate inmates who are Lifers. OMCP assist them in providing education so they may obtaine their Substance Abuse and Alcohol Certification which is recognized by the State of California. Rich resides in beautiful Benicia with his wife, Jennifer . They have 6 children who are all adulting. 3 very spoiled dogs (Tyson, Gracie and Ozzy).
