4worldlovers: San Shi Judo Club is a program of the Japanese-American Cultural Center of Vista. Founded in 1954, by Sachio Matsubara. Today the club continues to provide a learning and practice environment for Kodokan Judo. Students are of all ages and come from all walks of life. Our club is a full-time space dedicated to judo and as a result we are able to hold classes and events throughout the week. As a non-profit, we are able to concentrate on the mission of promoting values and culture. There are no contracts. All our instructors are qualified volunteers.

It is my privilege to be a part of this dojo. The benefits of my practice are manifold: from post-injury rehabilitation to overall health improvement, and finding new friends, of course! Truly, the quality of people I met here has enriched my life.

When I started going to the dojo, I didn't know what to expect, I didn't even know that I was out of shape. Well after about a month or so, I had more stamina and energy, not to mention I was learning what I consider the best self defense discipline to be found. It was easy to make fast friends and Sensei Kevin was able to teach as well as build my confidence in Aikido. I moved to Texas, but if I were still in Escondido I would be going there 3 times a week as usual. Thanks Kevin for your friendship and teaching.

My history of Aikido of Esc began around 2003.
