I strive to offer a patient-centered approach to nutrition care in a judgement-free environment. My goal is to offer evidence-based information, guidance, and support in finding the best nutrition strategies for each individual. Although I work with individuals to support their desired weight management goals, I prefer a weight-inclusive approach to healthcare with a focus on health supporting behaviors rather than a focus on weight change. In my spare time I enjoy dancing and spending time with my husband, two children, extended family and our pets.


Allison Reitz is a registered dietitian nutritionist providing medical nutrition therapy to adults with a variety of medical conditions. She counsels patients on conditions including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, underweight and malnutrition. She has a special interest in lifestyle strategies for managing IBS, including the FODMAP diet.


Dr. Reyes believes every pregnant patient should have access to the best care available and every patient should be well informed so they can make the best decisions possible. She provides the tools, knowledge and education to help women navigate their complicated pregnancies and prevent adverse outcomes. She works with obstetricians and other specialists to co-manage complicated pregnancies and provides direct care to high-risk pregnancies that require delivery at UC Davis Medical Center.

Dr. Carolyn Reyes is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist providing care to pregnant women with medical complications (such as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, recurrent pregnancy loss, diabetes) and fetal care (such as obstetric ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, amniocentesis, multiple gestation and fetal growth restriction).

She is a mentor to future physicians and OB/Gyn specialists. She serves on a California Pregnancy-Related Mortality Review Committee that strives to identify ways hospitals and physicians can improve the care provided to prevent adverse outcomes.

Dr. Reyes' research focuses on testing strategies to improve the practice of perinatal care during the intrapartum and postpartum period when women are at highest risk for cardiovascular complications of pregnancy. Identifying conditions early in pregnancy may prevent complications. She strives to understand how to best identify women with cardiovascular disease in pregnancy and integrate optimal clinical management of patients with maternal cardiovascular disease during the pregnancy, peripartum and postpartum period.
