Fencing is one of the original Modern Olympic sports and is fun, challenging, and a great learning experience for fencers of all ages.

4worldlovers: Whether you aspire to follow in the footsteps of our college scholarship athletes, our 91 year old Hall of Famer who still fences 4-5 days/week, the mid 40’s pentathlete who represented Team USA at the Pentathlon World Cup, our fencers who went off to found clubs of their own, or our kids that went on to compete at the Olympics, Davis Fencing Academy has something for you!

The Davis Fencing Academy has been serving as the premier fencing club in Davis and surrounding communities since 1999. Located in Yolo County, in the Central Valley of northern California, Davis is situated 11 miles west of Sacramento and 72 miles northeast of San Francisco.

We offer instruction and practice in all three modern fencing weapons: foil, epee, and saber. Our membership includes youth and adult fencers at all skill levels. We host multiple events throughout the year including: The Dick Berry Invitational, fencing camps, and The Bay Cup. Since 2015 we have also been organizing the Davis Pentathlon, the largest annual pentathlon competition in the U.S.

Our facility includes six full length, grounded fencing strips with reels and three additional practice/coaching strips. Electronic scoring is available on all fencing strips.


Davis Fencing Academy caters to members with a range of backgrounds and goals. For many, fencing is a wonderful activity for meeting great people and getting exercise. Others enjoy the challenge of competition at any level from local, regional and national events to World Cups and Olympics.
