4worldlovers: The Dixon Boat Club is a community oriented boating and fishing club. It was originally established in 1949. It was first located on Lindsey Slough off of Liberty Island Road. They later moved to where Ulatis Creek joins Maine Prairie Slough. The boat docks are now gone, but the pilings are still visible.

The present location was donated to the club by the Parker Family around 1960. With some hard work the members built the present facilities and moved in.

Membership is limited to 185 active members. A recommendation and sponsorship by a current member is required prior to joining.

The club has monthly dinners on the third Saturday of each month. Guests are welcome when accompanied by a member. Dinners are normally $15.00 per person, ($7.50 for children under 14), and open at 5:30pm, with dinner serving starting at 6:30pm. Check the Calendar for dates and more information.

The clubhouse features a full kitchen and bar facilities. There is also a lovely covered deck area on the water side, with more tables and chairs. There is seating for approximately 115 people throughout the clubhouse. Outside you can find a newly constructed smoker house, as well as a large mobile grill, which is covered for use on those rainy days.
