Dr. Choi received multiple merit-based and honorary awards during her training, including the Bates Research Fellowship; Everett Shapiro Award for her exemplary aptitude and achievement in orthodontics; and the Tufts Merit Scholarship for her academic excellence. During her residency, she focused her research on finding the correlation between cervical vertebrae and facial growth and presented her research at NESO (Northeastern Society of Orthodontists) annual meeting.
