4worldlovers: Welcome to Calvary Chapel Christian School Downey! We are so glad you have chosen to discover more about our great school! Our Senior Pastor Jeff Johnson followed the call of the Lord in 1978 and began a school at Calvary Chapel of Downey. Forty years later CCCS has grown tremendously due to God’s hand being placed upon our school and the dedicated staff who make an impact on our students each year.


Under the vision of our Senior Pastor, Art Reyes, it is his continued desire for CCCS to provide a Christ-centered education for our students. We want the Bible to be the central theme of all of their education and to fulfill our God-given mandate in Matthew 28:19-20. We want all subjects to be measured by the standard of God’s Word.


Here at Calvary Chapel Christian School we covet your prayers. First and foremost, we desire to be led of the Lord as we provide a safe, enriching, educational environment for our students.
