Portuguese Bend Whiskeys are a little bit of the California Coastal Sunshine in a bottle. Our whiskeys are a sophisticated twist on American classic recipes and the heart of everything we do.

Dishes designed by our expert culinary team are paired to showcase our in-house spirits and cocktails. Dining guests can gaze through floor to ceiling windows into the on-site distillery and watch the spirit-making process while enjoying craft cocktails in our pre-prohibition style bar.

Event spaces can be reserved for special occasions, receptions, private parties, and classes on how to use Portuguese Bend’s spirits to build their own creations at home, with full service in-house catering. Special tasting menus will be hosted seasonally to celebrate product launches and holiday celebrations. Live music events will be held at Portuguese Bend to showcase jazz and other local artists.

We aim to create high quality, interesting spirits made from exceptional raw material. We are not just another outsourced brand. Our hand is in every process. We proudly print our distillery number (DSP-CA-20185) on every bottle to let our customers know that we are proud of what we produced. Our distillery may be small, but our spirits are big and bold.

We work hard to source the very best raw materials for our spirits. We try to source as many ingredients from local farmers markets as possible. Fresh lemons and grapefruit are peeled at the peak of freshness. Rosemary, Basil, Mint is used in our gin the same day its trimmed. We feel like using locally grown citrus and herbs adds to the beauty of our spirts.

Eastsider is a juniper and citrus forward gin that balances the brightness of juniper and citrus and the earthiness of Angelica root with soft undertones of elderflower and chamomile

Eastsider Gin delicately balances 12 botanicals to create a subtle, smooth and easy-to-drink spirit that mixes perfectly into classic gin cocktails.

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.

Westsider is an LA-inspired spirit. It features botanicals found in gardens on the westside of LA. This gin features jasmine, pink peppercorns, and local rosemary and citrus. We work hard to source as many ingredients locally or from farmers markets.


Westsider is an aromatic spirit with a heavier Juniper, Rosemary, Pink Peppercorn and Basil presence on the nose and palate. Whole Key Limes distilled separately in a neutral spirit, which is later added during final proofing. The citrus blend gives freshness and brightens to an otherwise savory spirit. The vanilla bean softens the citrus tartness and slightly sweetens the spirit.

Squeeze the grapefruit juice into a mixing glass with ice. Add the Westsider gin, sweet vermouth and Campari to the shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled. Place one large block of ice in a rocks glass and curl the grapefruit peel around the inside of the glass. Strain into the prepared glass.

California Silver Rum is made 100% in house. It is made from organic brown sugar and molasses which is heated and dissolved in filtered water. It is then fermented for a week with a secret yeast strain. Our rum wash is then double distilled. During the second distillation, only the best hearts are collected. The result is an incredibly smooth and delicious rum! Perfect spirit for mojitos, Cuba libres, or daiquiris!

Add the rum, lime juice and demerara sugar syrup to a shaker with ice, and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled coup glass.. Garnish with a lime twist.

Calicitra is a citrus vodka that brings together three unique citrus varieties that are grown in California. Our featured citrus is Oro Blanco Grapefruit, Meyer Lemons, and Dekopon, otherwise known as Sumo Citrus.

The Oro Blanco grapefruit brings a subtle tang and refreshing zest that blends with the brightness of the locally grown Meyer Lemon. Sweet Sumo Citrus balances the three together to create the perfect expression of California sunshine.


Add the vodka, Cointreau, lime juice, and cranberry juice cocktail into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.


The name Aquavit is derived from the latin aqua vitae, meaning water of life. Aquavit is a traditional Scandinavian liquor. Its production is similar to gin, but instead of juniper as the dominant flavor, caraway is featured.


The savory taste of caraway blends with tangy dill and cool lemony licorice flavors from the local grown lemon and fennel. It is best served slightly chilled or in a cocktail as an interesting replacement for gin.


Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill 3/4 with ice. Shake until well chilled, about 12 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass (preferably chilled). Garnish with an expressed orange twist.
