Divine Art of Yoga Center is an organization that focuses on enlightening and guiding the spiritual journey of each being. We strive to achieve unity with our inner divine self though meditation, yoga, spiritual discourses and charitable acts.

We understand and accept the many challenges of our lives in this quickly changing world, but it is our profound belief that our existence and presence here on Mother Earth can and should be one of joy, bliss and tranquility.


It is through the connection of our mind, body and soul that this balance can be attained. As food satisfies hunger, and exercise leads to good health, so does seeking inner peace stabilize the mind. Our Center focuses on bringing that stabilization to people regardless of race or religion by utilizing their own foundation to further their progression on life’s journey.


To help spiritual seekers realize their own divinity through yoga, meditation, and spiritual discourses while helping them achieve a deep and lasting peace whose vibrations will radiate out and benefit all life on Earth.

We commonly call this center an Ashram. An ashram is a non-denominational place where people find peace and fulfillment with the help of spiritual teachers. Participants can enjoy activities like yoga, meditation, and empowerment groups.

With all the health and fitness options in the modern world, it’s more important than ever to spend our time wisely with a yoga practice that stretches the entire body, tones the muscles, increases oxygen to all organs, decreases stress, and many other benefits. Yoga goes back 5000 years and has extended the lives and helped prevent illnesses for millions of people, and it has even improved their relationships. Yoga improves our immunity system, promotes overall health and fitness, and even self-healing. It also relaxes the mind, allowing us to have more energy, greater focus, self-awareness and concentration. Our Yoga classes are offered at all levels, from beginners and seniors, to advanced. There are several types of yoga, including Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. Hatha Yoga is a series of stress relieving exercises focusing on the control of breathing. Ashtanga Yoga focuses on posture for beginners and promotes better concentration and self-purification.

Yoga classes are open for all levels : Beginners, Seniors, and Intermediate. Open and Advanced. This class is fit for everyone, from those with no prior yoga or experience to serious practitioners. Each class begins with gentle stretching leading to classic Hatha yoga in a comfortable environment.

Experience the benefits of stress-reducing deep breathing and group chanting. This class is for all levels.

Drive through the gate into the Divine Yoga Ashram or park in the lot next door. Leave your shoes at the door and have a seat on the carpet(or in a chair). There's no charge, and any small donation is fine. Come a few minutes early to meet everyone-we look forward to seeing you.

4worldlovers: The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center is a volunteer-based non-profit, teaching traditional, classical yoga for health and peace of mind in Los Angeles for over 45 years. Founded by Swami Vishnudevananda, the LA SYVC is a branch of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm located in Grass Valley, CA

Housed in a historic monument in the Jefferson Park/West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, the Center is near the corner of West Adams Boulevard and 7th Ave, just minutes east of the Crenshaw exit on the 10 freeway. Easy access via surface streets, too. (We moved from Marina del Rey in September 2019.)

If you are coming to the Center, please bring your own mat, if possible. All in-person classes are also being offered online. If you register for online, you will receive a Zoom link within 5 minutes. Please be on time for the class with your mat, pillow, blanket already set up in your space at home, video on.


Courses meet weekly for five consecutive weeks, 90-minutes each session. Try Yoga 1, Positive Thinking, Meditation… Workshops tend to be offered on weekends. If attending online, you will receive a Zoom link within an hour of the first class start time.
