The Club at Westpoint is for boaters and non-boaters alike. The club formed at the beginning of 2018 to offer a place where people can come together, in sophisticated surroundings, and enjoy a haven where they can relax, dine and meet friends.

Our purpose built new clubhouse and restaurant is nearing completion and will open in the summer of 2023. It has unrivaled views of the marina and the SF Bay beyond. Westpoint Harbor is the 2018 North America Marina of the Year, a designated Clean Marine since 2013, and the first Harbor in the USA to be awarded the prestigious Gold Anchor.

Our members are sailors, racers, cruisers and stewards of the sea. With a clubhouse on the shores of San Francisco Bay and a private island in the Sacramento Delta, our members enjoy on-water activity and camaraderie year-round.


Our San Francisco clubhouse features outstanding dining, spacious guest docks and panoramic vistas of San Francisco Bay. Our professional staff is here to make your visit seamless, whatever the occasion: dinner overlooking racing on the Bay, dancing at a Club event with superb live entertainment, or entertaining at a private party your guests won’t soon forget.


Each year, StFYC’s top race management team hosts 130 days of competition or more, including national and international sailing championships for everything from classics to kiteboards. The height of the season is the annual Rolex Big Boat Series.

Membership opens the door to the San Francisco clubhouse, Tinsley Island, reciprocity with clubs around the world and a community of individuals who share a passion for the water. Our Club is a place for family, friends, community and camaraderie.

Tinsley Island is our private slice of paradise. Located 60 miles up the Delta from San Francisco, this 40-acre oasis offers a year-round getaway for our members. It’s the perfect setting to escape the city and make lasting memories with family and friends.

Since 1964, St. Francis Yacht Club has hosted the premier regatta of the west coast, the Rolex Big Boat Series. We have welcomed the best fleets and the finest sailors to enjoy excellent racing and unforgettable shoreside activity.


They say if you learn to sail on San Francisco Bay, you can sail anywhere. Generations of St. Francis sailors would agree. Our professional coaching staff offers youth sailing opportunities year-round with programs at the City clubhouse and summer sailing camps on Tinsley Island. Instruction is available for all skill levels and open to members and non-members.

St. Francis Yacht Club was founded in 1927 by 21 sailors who shared a vision of a club in a city that hadn’t had its own yacht club in 50 years. They chose a site alongside the harbor created for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. By 1930, the burgee had circled the globe. It has since been carried by Olympians, World Champions, America’s Cup contenders and generations of junior sailors insisting, “I’m not cold; let me try it one more time.”
